Re: Mystery Jump Countdown: New DB Movie Confirmed!
I'd love if Vegeta transformed into a ssj3 in this movie, I can just picture it ending with a Goku vs Vegeta battle. I really doubt he will though, oh well there's always room to dream
Re: Mystery Jump Countdown: New DB Movie Confirmed!
I would actually prefer Broly to be a SSJ3 over Vegeta, because he's been dead and in the afterlife for a long time just like Goku. The whole feeling around SSJ3 is a heavenly/angelic kind of a thing. It only goes with a halo.
But they could still do something interesting with Vegeta, just not SSJ3...

I wouldn't like Broly in the movie or as a ssj3 for a few reasons, firstly the movie would be regarded as Non-canon a lot more if not altogether, also what would his ssj3 look like? Do you picture it with a similar appearance to his standard ssj form or his lssj form?Dorexx wrote:I would actually prefer Broly to be a SSJ3 over Vegeta, because he's been dead and in the afterlife for a long time just like Goku. I guess I will always want Vegeta to have a large role and become a ssj3, after all he's my favourite character.

Like he does in RB2 and Heroes.Saiyan Prince Vegeta wrote: I wouldn't like Broly in the movie or as a ssj3 for a few reasons, firstly the movie would be regarded as Non-canon a lot more if not altogether, also what would his ssj3 look like? Re: Mystery Jump Countdown: New DB Movie Confirmed!
Yeah I always picture him like that because of the rb series and heroes, but i don't like calling it SSJ3 because it looks like his LSSJ form, LSSJ3 is much more appropriate. I'm sure they called him that in the rb1 trailer (Japanese) but the game had him listed as just "Super Saiyan 3" not sure about the Japanese copy though.Son Satan wrote:Like he does in RB2 and Heroes.Saiyan Prince Vegeta wrote: I wouldn't like Broly in the movie or as a ssj3 for a few reasons, firstly the movie would be regarded as Non-canon a lot more if not altogether, also what would his ssj3 look like? Re: Mystery Jump Countdown: New DB Movie Confirmed!
I highly doubt that Toriyama would include someone like Broli into the movie's plot, yet there's so much discussion about him...
Re: Mystery Jump Countdown: New DB Movie Confirmed!
I think it's partly due to Brolli's reputation (popularity?) in the U.S. that he's mentioned in the thread so much. Some glimpses I've gotten into how he's seen in Japan (at least through YouTube and Niconico) is more of a meme/joke character.

I think the vast majority of us have mentioned him out of somewhat ironic yet hesitantly-afraid hilarity, rather than seriousness.

Gotenks doesn't have a halo. Took him two weeks to get it.Dorexx wrote:I would actually prefer Broly to be a SSJ3 over Vegeta, because he's been dead and in the afterlife for a long time just like Goku. The whole feeling around SSJ3 is a heavenly/angelic kind of a thing. It only goes with a halo.

And really, Broli was weak-sauce. For him to get SS3 just because he's been dead for a while makes it sound like it's a give-away to dead guys. Not to mention that if this is based on the manga, he wouldn't have a body in hell to learn SS3 with in the first place.

Re: Mystery Jump Countdown: New DB Movie Confirmed!
I find it odd that more people are debating how and why a Super Saiyan 3 Brolli would work rather than addressing the facts that he's both dead and out of continuity.
But no time for that! Speculation! Brolli! Fighting! Power levels!

Well, I do think everyone is entitled to express their wishes regarding this movie, be it character x getting a new transformation or what not. Personally, I can't stress enough how much I do not want this to happen and have the movie focus on completely different things.

I'm also in this camp. My personal interest about this movie is that I'd like to have a fun, exciting plot with lots of entertaining character interaction. I really don't care about characters getting more ssj power-ups, that sort of thing just doesn't interest me.

Something nice I'd like to see would be someone else beating the main villain and not with Goku or his help for once.
Heck, the plot could be that someone or something has kidnapped Goku or he's simply gone missing and a new villain pays a visit to Earth so now it's up to everybody to try and defend Earth without Goku around to save the day.

The Kai stage show plot had Paragas kidnapping Goku so Gohan, Vegeta, and Bulma had to go try and rescue him; I had fun watching that. I imagine Goku would be a very atypical kind of hostage.

Re: Mystery Jump Countdown: New DB Movie Confirmed!
I want the last fight to be something special. Not any of that cliche and random super blast/punch at the last second just to wrap up the movie. For instance, take the battle with Vegeta, it took a lost beam struggle, a Genki Dama, a slice to the back and being crushed by Oozaru Gohan to end the fight, and he still wasn't dead. At the end of that bout, both parties had taken casualties and severe injuries; resulting them to resort on unorthodox tactics to win. Now am not saying that this movie needs to have a scene identical to that but for the love of Dende, it better not have any phoned in Toei punches or Dragon fists.
Yeah I saw some of that! lol. Despite it being rather silly, I found the premise of it fun.Chuquita wrote:The Kai stage show plot had Paragas kidnapping Goku so Gohan, Vegeta, and Bulma had to go try and rescue him; I had fun watching that. I imagine Goku would be a very atypical kind of hostage.

Who knows? Maybe Goku himself is the main villain either due to being taken control of or him bumping his head and his Saiyan side taking over while his Earthling side is locked away.

I don't see them getting rid of the popular main character like that in the first animated movie in a long time.
Re: Mystery Jump Countdown: New DB Movie Confirmed!
It'd also be pretty pointless when he's not even the strongest around at this point.Makaioshin wrote:I don't see them getting rid of the popular main character like that in the first animated movie in a long time.

Re: Mystery Jump Countdown: New DB Movie Confirmed!
If done right, it could be a very interesting twist. Goku's reputation of the supreme saviour to most everyone who knows him and to have him turn into their greatest threat, yeah, I'd watch it.
