More like Mr. Satan isn't really dead and is just going to other planets to save the universe. He and Segata Sanshiro go to other planets and kick ass.

I don't think its that far of a stretch, especially compared to some of the other stories I've seen/ read (whole thriving populations of Saiyans, planets of Legendary Super Saiyans, etc.)

While my own story is still in the planning stages, I have to admit I'm guilty of that. I don't think it's so bad, but my justification is that (in the story) the Saiyans originally came from a different planet to Vegeta and so that planet continued to thrive unnoticed. That's not bad, is it?

Oh believe me man, I think I've seen it all thanks to people sending me fan fics and doujinshi. Here's some of the toppers:

1 - Son Gohan, for some unknown reason, divorces Videl and marries an unknown powerless woman named Sarah. They have a son called "Son Nick". He was born a Super Saiyan 4. He can access 20 Super Saiyan forms, and beats all of his opponents in 1-5 moves (literally, the last 'boss' villain i saw him fight he killed with one move). He then gets a SSJ form with 4 angel wings, blue fur, green hair, and can basically do whatever he wants to reality.

2 - Broly is resurrected (again), becomes good, and marries a female Legendary Super Saiyan... named Tiffany... who has been living on Earth all her life They go to Planet where there are nothing but Super Saiyans (from where, IDK), and wind up becoming King and Queen of a Planet of Legendary Super Saiyans.

Hah! Sounds like an old fanfic from the early days of the DB fandom.

3 - Videl cheats on Gohan with Piccolo and has a half-human half-namek would can somehow become a Super Saiyan...

Not as bad as a fic I used to follow where ChiChi and Piccolo hook up and have a kid...who puts SSJ3 Goku to shame when they fought together....and then the fic proceeds to crossover itself with the Avengers...did I mention Goku goes into a primal rage at the discovery of Piccolo and Chichi having been hooked up and having a kid together?

4 - Son Goku, Son Gohan, Son Goten, Trunks, Vegeta, Pan, and Bra all use some BIZARRE set of Potara earrings and form some weird ass fusion of all of them. They fight some demon god (who wipes out all life in the universe by thinking) and wind up destroying the universe, which they then just 'put back together' by unfusing (at will, I might add)

5 - Freeza is brought back to life by a machine that copies the powers of the Dragon Balls. He's now stronger than a SSJ4 for no other reason than he just is. He steals all 3 sets of dragon balls (the normal ones, the namek ones, and the black star balls) and absorbs them like Omega Shenron. He grants his own wishes and becomes omnipotent, and Goku and Vegeta permanently fuse into Gogeta (somehow) and use the same machine to wish themselves to have the same powers as Freeza has. Gogeta destroys Freeza (who becomes trapped in all the dragon balls), and Gogeta basically becomes god

I'd love to see this, Gogeta from option 4 and the SSJ4 OC from the first option duke it out XD

We should share stories of bad DB fanfics and doujinshi together, hehe.

I hope not. I've enjoyed this saga so much, if this so called "Truhan" happens I'm gonna lose it. It wouldn't make sense. Gohan is so far ahead of Trunks it's ridiculous. Plus Goku's speech wouldn't make sense then if he just fused with someone instead of believing in himself, putting his mind to it, and focusing.

I hope not. I've enjoyed this saga so much, if this so called "Truhan" happens I'm gonna lose it. It wouldn't make sense. Gohan is so far ahead of Trunks it's ridiculous. Plus Goku's speech wouldn't make sense then if he just fused with someone instead of believing in himself, putting his mind to it, and focusing.

Truhan is going to happen during this Saga, but not in the next Chapter. Sorry if that bums you out, but that was the plan. Plus, Trunks should have pulled closer to Gohan by now. As is evident, this Trunks is more like Future Trunks than wimpy GT Trunks. He's been training under accelerated gravity, where Gohan has not. Gohan may have a new level of power brewing withing him, but at this time, he's still somewhat 'at his full potential'. Even though he's getting stronger, he should be progressing far slower than Trunks, who is sparring with a militant Vegeta inside a room with hundreds of times more gravity.

I'm sorry, but I'm with dbzfan here. Trunks shouldn't be anything close to Gohan, especially considering Gohan's "ultimate" power up.

They won't use Fusion in their stronger states, they'll merge in base.
