*Tries to imagine Acapella ChaLa.... and.... nothing...*

Hmm, if it were acapella, I don't think it would be very serious like... I could see it being made fun of a lot too lol.
This could work, though, if everyone agrees on it. Can you post a sample of stuff you've done so we can have a listen (or if you've posted it somewhere on the forum already, can you tell us where to look)? o3o
I can give you songs I've transcribed for right now (not at the moment though, because I'm leaving shortly)

But if you want me actually playing, give me some time to dig up an adapter here and there so I can re-record some junk, because all of my recordings atm are about 2 years old O_o

Well, seeing your transcribed work would be interesting as well, but yeah, we'd really like to hear you playing. Take as much time as you need to get the stuff together, though; it's not like we're not in any sort of race.

I don't really know lol... *waits for Kaboom's input*

Oh, and I'll put up some midi's of stuff I've transcribed and blah. And in like... an hour or three, I'll have some recorded stuff, even if it's just on microsoft recorder because I can't find the software to my real recording stuff lol.

Hey, Eclipse, I was wondering: where did you get this particular version of the opening? Is it on the Cha-La Head Cha-La page? And if so, what's the proper title for this particular version?

The reason I ask is that I'd like to do some experimenting on my own with this opening. I'll see if I can't get a hold of Shinpan and link her to it as well so she can record herself singing to it with the right timing. (And while I'm at it, I'll ask her how her version of the script is coming.)
Timo posted it quite a while back (Sometime in the last ten pages). It's a zip (or RAR) file, there's four renditions of Head Cha-La. I used the first one.

If you want to do some stuff before Shinpan records new vocals, you can use the previous YouTube version. Unfortunately, she removed the video, so you can't rip it. I do have the vocals on my computer, but they're still synced up to the song (So you'll have to add some seconds here, chop off seconds there). >.> Here you go

Well... it sounds like a nice idea. I don't know whether or not we're capable of doing it, though. I still haven't gotten a positive "yes" from Shinpan yet, and I'm already flopsweating over the anxiety of having to coordinate and direct poeple recording dialogue via the internet soon, even with Rick and Gwen's help. I can't even imagine how I would be able to handle coordinating folks doing music, too... O_o;;

So, to all those interested in recording our own Cha La... I'll tell you what. Hold that thought for now, because we've still got a ways to go before we get to it. It's a nice idea, and I'm all for it. However, I've got to say one thing about it now.

If we produce and record our own rendition of Cha La Head Cha La, someone else besides me will have to be in charge of it.

It'll be a good amount of extra work to rustle up a bunch of talented musicians from the forum to learn the song and record it, all the while making sure things are coordinated, tempos are right, the recorded sound is good quality, and all that stuff (But at least it'll be short, being the TV version, right?). And quite frankly, I've already got more than enough on my plate both inside and outside of this project.

So I think that's the way it's gonna be. If you guys really want to organize our own recording of the song, that's great. Awesome. It'll really add a big personal touch to it. But it's going to be a big job, and someone else besides me is going to have to step up and be the one to organize it all. I'll help out a little if I can, but I'm too busy with everything else to seriously devote time to it.

PROGRESS REPORT: I'm writing up the text for the Goku Re-Auditions at the moment. I should have it up sometime tomorrow, so to any and all who plan on auditioning, don't forget to practice, practice, practice!

Uhmm... I'll do it all lol.

We don't need to organize musicians or anything. I can make it all, except for guitar parts, I'll record it myself.

And then all we need is someone to sing it ;)

Oh, sorry, Nathan. Didn't mean it to come off like that. I wasn't doubting you or anything. I was just kinda exasperated at myself for posting so much there and making such a big deal over it. So again...

Well... you went and posted all of that because you misread my first post about it... so obviously you don't care

But it's fine... either way, I'll be making my own Head-Cha-La, and it will take me a week at the most.

Sorry, my bad to begin with, then. Go for it. Recording Cha La is your thing, now.

Hey, now, let's be civil here. I for one also have interest in putting together the intro for this, so don't just rule everyone else out because you know you can do it. Give a few other people the opportunity to chip in, eh? ;)

Well, it might be better if the people who wanted to work on the intro decided to work together... I'm not doubting your abilities (that's why I mentioned wanting to hear what you can do), it's just that it could get kind of chaotic if everyone did their own version of the same thing, or something.

Organize! Organize! Things go much smoother that way. :D

Hmm, I should probably mark which people want to help put this intro together... might make it a little easier... o3o

Audio Editor, a.k.a Tenken (I'm also doing a bit here and there)

Actually, that gives me a thought. While we're waiting for the script and voiceovers and such, we should get all the music, sound effects, footage all together and prepared right here and now so stuff will be finished faster.

My opinion ^.^
