Which in my opinion is pandering to the fans of the original dub. Just call him Mr. Satan and be done with it.

But the wonky name changes are part of the charm of the dub. Like Master Shen and Master Roshi.

Some...actually make more sense than the original, really. Like Launch works because, uhh...she has a volatile personality. Was trying to figure out how to word that.

I just hope Super's dub is more like Kai's and not like Z's.

I doubt they'll do that again.

While Z's dub had a few scenes where they surpassed the Japanese version (the "hope of the universe" speech), for the most part, it's WAYYY off.

My mental voice cast (as in, what the characters sound like in my head) is basically Kai dub but with Tsuru for Bulma and Chiba for Pilaf.

What strikes me as odd is that Sabat is playing Zarbon when they already have Tatum as Mira. A real pity as I loved Tatum as Zarbon. I only assume they did this to pander to fans of the old dub since terms like Hercule & Special Beam Cannon are present too. Of course Clinkenbeard & Rial have to stay because Nadolny & Vollmer no longer live in Texas and Ayres has to be used as Freeza because Young can't handle the more accurate scripts the newer games have. Slug had to be replaced & Ginyu is still voiced by Elliott because of Armstrong's retirement. Some old voices such as Sabat as Jheese & McCoy as 18 are for the better as those were the 2 Kai replacements I liked the least, so great to have them back in this game. I did notice that Clinkenbeard sounds way off in this game as Gohan compared to Kai and even Xenoverse 1. I still think they could have used this game to sack Patton as Tullece & Chandler as Coola and put Schemmel & Ayres in the roles. As for Schemmel as Black, I think the tone is somewhat there, but I do hope that the raspiness is gone by the time they dub Super as if he sounds like that in Super it won't work. Speaking of raspiness it seems like Vale has finally lightened up on the rasp for Future Trunks. If how he sounds here is a preview of how he'll sound in Super then I think it'll work.

I thought that too but the rasp comes and goes. Sometimes it's really noticeable and sometimes it's like hey it's how Trunks is meant to sound

AND to add onto that, the subtitles can sometimes be inaccurate to what they're actually saying.

UPDATE: Apparently, Jeremy Schwartz is the new VA for Lord Slug. So, if Plan To Eradicate The Super Saiyans is EVER dubbed, that's who they'll probably have voicing Slug.

I don't know what race you're playing but the requirement is probably similar. It's a really dumb system that wrecks the story progression, as you can clearly see transformations do not matter in the slightest in terms of power in Xenoverse.

I'm a Saiyan so do I have to reach level 57 to unlock Ssj to continue the story ?

But since this is way off-topic, I liked the story a lot. Wasted potential, sure, but it was well put together in the end.
