Yeah, I'd love to know how many weekly visits Crunchyroll will lose, for instance. Maybe the money flow won't be the same for a while.dbzfan7 wrote:Super's quality is arguable, but its impact is not. It's hugely successful. It's done nothing but good things by bringing so much attention back to Dragon Ball. While it can be said the story's, characters, and scenarios are a mixed bag, Super more than enough did the job it set out to do. As a quality series it's debatable honestly. As a important series to Dragon Ball, absolutely. The massive attention gain is great. As a money making machine, fantastic. Dragon Ball Super whether good or bad, is and will be an amazing thing for the series in general for how successful it is.
The impact Super had/has/will keep having (as there's a lot of stuff to come under the brand yet) is indeed undeniable. Seeing someone compare its importance to a GT that almost killed Dragonball reeks of insanity.
Even if we never got another tv series, every new content from now on will keep bringing Super stuff back - the universes, new characters it introduced, etc, and of course, Ultra Instinct is here to stay. Super can't and won't be shoved aside, unlike the spin off.

Fuji TV have stated that the series isn’t over and the future of it is being discussed at the moment.

Super is ending and now we only have movies, oav etc etc. It's best to accept Super itself is done.

Remember when some fans believed Daishinkan was going to turn evil?
Its not going to happen with 8 episodes left.

Mostlikely a new series picking up where super left off, after the movie comes out.Legion wrote:Super is ending and now we only have movies, oav etc etc. It's best to accept Super itself is done.

Unfortunately. There's honestly little chance to do anything really other than just wrapping things up. Disappointing, the potential of this arc seem to be wastedperucho1990 wrote:Remember when some fans believed Daishinkan was going to turn evil?

What I'm more interested in is Freeza. He surely won't get the wish unless they they leave the ending of Super in a cliffhanger, which isn't likely I believe.perucho1990 wrote:Remember when some fans believed Daishinkan was going to turn evil?

Guys, we haven't even seen the ending yet. Let's give it a chance before we get disappointed. A lot can happen in 8 episodes because it's about the length of a 2 hr and 40 minute movie.Basaku wrote:Unfortunately. Side note: Can you imagine if Kitaro's announcement is a red herring for a new Dragon Ball show? Most likely not, but that'd be interesting. Also, I thought about posting my thoughts for the next episode of Super, but no one's going to give a shit now with the whole SUPER IS ENDING thing....

I'm actually excited about this. I'm confident that we will get more DB on TV sooner than later, branded as Super or not. This hiatus will probably help the production, and then we will have great episodes to enjoy.

Even if he did wish for something, there's peace by the End of Z so it wouldn't really amount to anything. Best he can hope for right now is not getting erased and being wished back to life for his eventual appearance in Neko Majin Z.Torturephile wrote:What I'm more interested in is Freeza. Honestly, not just DB but other on-going anime could use breaks and more seasonal format too. Ain't no one needs fillers and unnecessary padding just to fill each of the 52 weeks in a given year...Majin Jator wrote:I'm actually excited about this. Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Welp. As much as I've shat on this show, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit depressed by this news. I still had fun watching and discussing week to week. Yes, I get that it'll probably come back in some form down the line, but this show has been a part of my life for 2 years now, so it's gonna feel real strange and empty when that first Saturday without it rolls around.

The only way DBS returns asap is if Freeza wins, but his chances of winning at close to 0, in the manga Freeza is still treated as a joke.Torturephile wrote: What I'm more interested in is Freeza. Also Jiren is going to job to mastered UI Goku
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I just hope the finale of the Universe Survival Arc is given the appropriate time to wrap up. We've got episode titles of up to 126 and the fight is till going. I don't want Goku vs Jiren to finally end in 130 and have everything wrapped up in 131.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
What's worse is if super or a new db series DOES come back and the production is still crap, then all of this would have been a waste smh. That's why I'm not excited about this news.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
But that's exactly how it's gonna be, it's not like Toei will suddenly change completly in few months after decades of same old production issuesIGhostUlt wrote:What's worse is if super or a new db series DOES come back and the production is still crap
