Yes the way they handle it is pretty damn terrible, I was just using an example of how games with 2v2 handle it. Of course I would prefer the way the Tenkaichi series does it (besides the closed up camera).

Yeah at current I think local multiplayer is just limited to 2 players because of how the game is done. 3v3 would be just horrible, having the screen split into 6 boxes? Unless you've got a giant TV, no one would be able to see what they're doing.

I think he meant mixed teams of both human and AI players, like Gundam Extreme VS does.

So as it stands, what Trainers are available thus far and do we expect to see more as we progress through the game? I'd like to take Brolly as a trainer. Have myself a short, quick little Cooler-type character slinging around giant effing ki bombs everywhere.

That is if training here is anything like Ultimate Tenkaichi's, which I absolutely hope it is because UT had a good training system what with doing a series of matches and progressively unlocking your mentor's moves, ultimate, and eventually basic moveset. Would be a shame if customs are stuck with their default melee combos.

I would dig that. I'd like it more if you could maybe mix animations together. Imagine a fighter with a mix of Nappa and Broly's moves! Oh wait...Mike Haggar exists! :lol: Oh god now I wanna make Haggar in this! IS IT FEBUARY YET?!

I could see us unlocking parallel missions as we progress through training with a Master. Doing them would increase a friendship level which could unlock further training matches.

Does anyone else but me find that having Cell as a trainer is a but redundant? I mean Cell's entire move list just consists of moves from all the other Z-warriors and Freeza. He's not really bringing anything new to the table and I don't figure any of the PC's can make mini-me's like the Cell jr's.

I'd rather have Cooler, Brolly and Janemba as trainers instead.

He can bring a few things to the table.

The chopping move he does to Vegeta after killing Trunks would work as a good dashing melee move

His Solar Kamehameha is already a ultimate.

The barrier he forms when Goku is blasting him with a barrage of Ki blasts can be a escape move

His Perfect Combination move could work as a melee combo super as well.

Possibly, not quite sure.

What really interests me is the possibility of Time Patrol Trunks and Whis as mentors. Especially with the possibility that we get their melee movesets upon completion of their training. Trunks has screenshots of him using his sword and Whis has gameplay with his staff being used so the possibility of being able to fight with them should we get their movesets is very promising.

Solar Kamehameha isn't really much considering we already have the Super Kamehameha and 10x Kamehameha on the list. And the barrier move was also used by Android#17 as well, which is how I'd believe Cell acquired it. His Combo attack isn't really anything that we couldn't just have added plainly since we start with a selection of skills at Character Creation.

The only reason I can even see for having Cell is to get his "outfit", ie; pieces to use in Character Creation for Freeza Race.

I believe in the NA livestream they said that CPCs (Custom player characters) can't use weapons like trunks can. They can get his sword as a cosmetic thing to wear but not actually wield it in battle.

Right. It just appears from thin air for that specific move then disappears again. The sword on the back is just for cosmetic purposes.

Honestly I'm more interested in the DLC prospects if we get any. I'd love for new classes to be made, perhaps a android class like in heroes or a Kai class would be interesting.
