Weird things is that the arc preview with the Gods doesn't look anything like it, and the colors are the same as before.

No it looks different. The Japanese version or rather the arc preview has effects similar to the NEP, but the skin done is darker or rather less lighter, the contrast has been turned down a little and the dark black lines surrounding the characters is thinner, making them look less blurry than the NEP version. Its different, at the same time not too crazy like the NEP version.

It actually has the same effects as the Japanese NEP, you can clearly see it in the final scene showing Goku's face.

To be more exact, I meant to say both had similar effects but with their own variation, as it can be seen in both the previews.

So am i the only one who liked how do the characters look? (i'm talking about the preview/TV version not the one from the simulcast) Idk, maybe it's because i like the thick lines combined with the glow (because i absolutely hated those filters on other super episodes).

I really don’t know what to feel about look of the next episode preview, it reminds me of those godawful “Super with DeeBeeZee look” edits that has been floating around everywhere, which was (surprisingly) praised by some people. However, I do think the final episode will look at least a bit different to one we’re seeing currently.

Regarding the new opening, hopefully, it will have a good storyboard. The one current one, in my opinion, has quite a bland one except for maybe a few parts. Do we have any idea who’s the supervisor of it, is is Yamamuro again?

Phew, i'm glad that i'm not alone. As i said before, i probably like it because i like how it combines with those thick lines, as i hated those youtube videos "dbs with 90s style". I also like it because it seems like there are no highlights on Goku's and Vegeta's hair.

I think footage of the next episode in the PV looks great, the extra post effects in the NEP version are just kinda weird.
As I mentioned before, they're probably still fiddling with it to get it how they want it.

Not as awesome as the last episode, but most part looked good enough for me. There were some ugly shots here and there, but nothing major.

-NEP-

The art/animation looks cool and it's the first time we saw a pregnant character in Dragon Ball, but I don't like how everything looks brighter.
If that's the same logic than use green tint in Kai Buu arc thinking it will improve footage quality, then God have mercy.

Majin Buu barely seems to be pink and you need sunglasses to see SSJ Goku...

I read some comments outside here of people saying that looks perfect and just like DBZ. They probably saw the Orange Bricks version or another shitty remaster from Funimation, because the NEP definitely doesn't look the real DBZ I know.

The very thick lines gives me episode 4/ Fusion Reborn vibes, which I hate. I like how how smooth they have been using them, don't go overboard now.
As for the black hairs I'm okay with highlights or not, because I still can't decide which one I like the most. The highlights they use on characters bodies can go away foever though.

The next episode will be a turning point for Super and I hope it's for better. I'm not satisfied with what I saw.

Looks perfect. Goku beating the wolf is my favourite part so far. It feels brutal and easily better than anything from the first Opening.

absolutely love the new style of animation in the preview and I'm sure that's the style that were gonna get to the entire arc because the trailer also looked like that. they added some kind of bloom effect that makes it look more complete. the black hair actually look black and not with grayish outline like it used to
