What do you mean now that we have enough information? We don’t know squat. Go back and look at some statements made recently and you’ll see why it’ll be some of the most terrible writing in the series if Toppo was always this strong.
Toppo being always this strong is no surprise honestly. Look at dyspo, he always had his maximum light speed mode, uet he didnt decide to use it against hit, despite getting outperformed. So i really dont care about super writting them this way.
I’m gonna give you the benefit of the doubt that you’re not trying to say “bad writing is fine as long as It looks cool..”
I’m gonna break this down Barney style for you so there’s no confusion on exactly WHY Toppo can’t be the strong without help:
1)Toppo being as strong as a God of Destruction right now would mean that they intentionally lied to us about where he was strength wise in the exhibition match.
2) If Toppo was this strong 40 hours ago, Vermoud wouldn’t of been so concerned about whether or not Toppo could defeat Goku come tournament time. Toppo had to assure him that Jiren would be able to take care of him if he couldn’t.
These are FACTS and cannot be viewed as head canon.
Say that Toppo really had this power all along and was just “holding back”. What kind of show would blatantly lie to us just for a shock factor? They pulled a similar situation with Jiren. If Vermoud knew about Jiren, once again he wouldn’t of been concerned about where Toppo stood.
The only way this could come across as a legitimate situation is if this new found power is not something he’s really experienced before. Anything other than that is clearly lies and deceit amongst the writers because they can’t tell a story. That would further prove that the people working on Super over there really have no idea about the series. The manga doesn’t have nearly this amount of inconsistencies.
I dont need a long response to this, so heres my opinion.
I've grown immune to supers bad writting, idc anymore. They are making it quite obvious that this is toppos own, full power. Whether toppo is as strong as a G.o.D is debatable, in my opinion he isnt.
I don't think Vermoud knows the exact limit of jiren and toppo strength, if he did, he wouldn't have been so nervous when UI Goku was fighting jiren, and wouldn't be impressed with Goku strength.
I think it was never said that Vermoud knows Jiren limit or that he trained or was present on Toppo's training?
and we don't know, maybe he just couldn't transform into the god form at will, and now his anger (or something) made him tap into the form.

They do know Jiren and Toppos strength. They’re the ones who told us that Jiren threw a serious punch and whatnot. They just add all that nonesense for effect.

Are we too old to enjoy new Dragon Ball movies/series?

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.
The epic tale of how Sean Schemmel blocked me on Twitter:
I tagged him in a thread explaining how his performance wasn't rerecorded when FUNi were redoing parts of the early Z dub for the Orange Bricks.
He thought I was misrepresenting his work by saying he wasn't in something he was in.
I explained how that wasn't the situation & did a bit of a sarcastic kinda thing involving the rerecordings FUNi did for the Z dub to show how stupid that was.
He said they didn't record him & not use his recordings.
Blocked & he deleted his response tweets to me.
???
Profit...?

If Vegeta is fighting both then clearly something has happened to Freeza and 17.
And Goku too. Though I think he's either still fighting but not mentioned or is just floored by Jiren and then awakens UI again (which is what I want to see above all). But again, spoilers have been misleading before so... I just want Vegeta to fight and beat Toppo. I really enjoyed their brief fight earlier. Either by double knockout or him just winning it (and maybe also something new from Vegeta's variant other than just being a stronger transformation). Though if that doesn't happen then well... onward to UI Goku vs Jiren.
wait are we ignoring the Ep 127 title? The Final Barrier. SCREAMS of 17.
That's.... true.

Looks like the sky changes again, at last. And it finally looks good! I was getting bored of the green.

Naah, I only ever watched Dragonball evolution and that's certainly the best, in fact I don't even know what I am doing here in, "super" sub section?
Evolution was great, but I really suggest you watch GT. That's where all the Gohan badassery is.
I heard Jaco manga has some real cool Gohan moments as well, definitely gonna give that a shot too..
There was also that manga with a cat and Frieza's kid. It has the most awesome Gohan scene ever.
