If I'm not wrong in the 90's most male anime characters were mostly buffed because that was a cool thing; however, nowadays the cool thing it's that the male characters have "normal" bodies.

There were plenty of normal weight characters in that era. This apparent trend of skinny characters being the "cool thing" sounds a bit weird to me. Especially when you got huge fanbases for modern anime characters like Alex Louis Armstrong and Whitebeard or whatnot.

So I don't see why we can't move on in that regard an accept that characters won't really look buffed. I mean yeah, character designs are not the best in super, but them being skinny is most a matter of how the styles of animators have evolved. I mean even Toriyama draws skinny characters now.

I'm not sure what you're asking when you say people need to apparently "move on". I mean, people aren't just going to all of a sudden cast their preferences out. It's just not gonna happen.

I wouldn't even agree on most of them being that way.

As for the franchise supposedly never returning to more muscular designs, neither you or I know that. We've gotten an Evil Goku and we're soon to get a (presumably) female Broly, so I'm gonna hold my breath before saying it's never gonna happen.

The colors look fine to me(at least in this image) There's no "dream sequence" filter, so if the rest of the arc looks like this then that's fine in my opinion. Or maybe I'm wrong and the actual episode might look different.

The last image didn't have the filter either, that didn't happen until we saw the NEP. I wouldn't judge anything off of just this.
