I guess yeah, does make want to see the other gods becoming gods but I doubt that'll ever happen. Was that whole bit about Toppo becoming Belmod successor even in the anime though? Don't remember that being mentioned in the anime but then again it's been a while since watched the episode Toppo was introduced in.Lionel wrote:You mean throwing away one ideology for another that's based on destroying for the sake of allowing creation to take place while answering to a puerile monarch who makes political decisions on the fly? Didn't really understand Vegeta's point this episode. Toppo was underway for succeeding Belmod as the Hakaishin of his universe long before this tournament was even a thought in the mind of Zeno -- that would have logically entailed shedding his old philosophical opinions about justice and adopting a stance of naturalistic impartiality. If anything, you could argue that he was expediting the process for succession. Yes, in the short term it's terribly inconvenient for Belmod as he still needs to survive this tournament, but in the long term he should be pleased since he can retire that much sooner with his protege already having taken the necessary steps towards being an Hakaishin.CriticalThinker wrote:I gotta say that at least now Jiren seems to be going all out or not holding back as much based off of the nep, so that's gonna be interesting. Also interesting to note that Toppo seems to be back to normal when he was knocked out, so I guess that was a transformation and not permanent. Makes me wonder if the other gods had something similar happen to them or if this was just a Toppo thing. Also that part in the episode when Jiren casually kicks Goku away after smack talking Toppo was funny, least Dyspo seemed to care about Toppo.
It's just good for Vegeta that Toppo didn't get an adrenal hormone induced power boost by focusing on his important role as destroyer of worlds in the grand natural cycle that is creation and destruction. I would argue that such a mentality would have been a lot more compelling a reason to persist than just personal family members -- even though that's very much important for the individual as well.

I think so but I'd have to go back and check. It seems like it would be as Toppo was exhibiting traits that are exclusive only to Hakaishin.CriticalThinker wrote:I guess yeah, does make want to see the other gods becoming gods but I doubt that'll ever happen. Toppo being a candidate was never mentioned in the anime, 125 was when it was brought up.CriticalThinker wrote:I guess yeah, does make want to see the other gods becoming gods but I doubt that'll ever happen. Ah okay though maybe it was the toei website which mentioned it but I haven't checked that out in a while as well. Curious I don't read the manga but did they mention it there by chance?Kenneth La Torre wrote:Toppo being a candidate was never mentioned in the anime, 125 was when it was brought up.CriticalThinker wrote:I guess yeah, does make want to see the other gods becoming gods but I doubt that'll ever happen. Monday is a holiday in Japan, so Tuesday or Wednesday we get the last batch of spoilers.
Now I dont mind if Jiren jobs as hard as Toppo, that would be for wasting everyones time in being the worst antagonist in Shounen.

The Cabba and promise is cheesy as hell and not in a good way, Vegeta saying all that stuff when looking like an angry barbie is reducing his points by the second..

This episode, in terms of writting, actually got me depressed. Who ever wrote this episode should honestly get explosive diarrhea for the remaining episodes of Super left. I’m all good for vegeta winning, but god, toppos character... jiren being a villian trope now... oh my head...
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I feel like seeing vegeta / goku being shirtless could lead to Fushion.. not the potara one, last time in black arc, vegeta armor broke but goku still had clothes on.. but yea.

Except the explosive diarrhea thing, I see where you are coming from, this episode only worked because Vegeta has an active part of fanbase who defends his every action, it was completely shit from every other way..Kenneth La Torre wrote:This episode, in terms of writting, actually got me depressed. I can't bear watching the anime anymore. The writing is insufferable. Guess I'll just watch the highlights on Youtube until the final episode.

They can do better. Or they could have done better, since that’s it for him as far as dbs is concerned.Ki Breaker wrote:Of course not, they are doing their jobs the best they can with the materials they are provided..Kenneth La Torre wrote:Oh come on, you know the writer deserves explosive diarrhea.Ki Breaker wrote: Except the explosive diarrhea thing, I see where you are coming from, this episode only worked because Vegeta has an active part of fanbase who defends his every action, it was completely shit from every other way..

There can be several factors which lead to the current state, as you say if they have done better previously, and screwed up once for reasons unknown, they deserve sickness?Kenneth La Torre wrote:They can do better. I’m not saying they deserve sickness. I’m guessing you actually believe I was wishing sickness upon someone... you must have been in some really dark websites then.Ki Breaker wrote:There can be several factors which lead to the current state, as you say if they have done better previously, and screwed up once for reasons unknown, they deserve sickness?Kenneth La Torre wrote:They can do better.
