On the subject of Piccolo's skin color...I don't care how long he was trapped...He's NOT human. He's a demon incarnate Namekian in the DragonBall world. This is a series where people shoot Ki Blasts, normal human logic doesn't always work. In addition, a Namekian's Lifespan is obviously much longer than a humans anyway.
Sorry I just quickly glanced at that post.
On Piccolo: I know he isn't human... but is it that disrespectful if they just made him have one SLIGHTLY HUMAN characteristic, which is aging? I think 2,000 years is a hell of a lot of time for any race.
The writers, directors, cast, have never said this is going to be a carbon copy, guys... it's an adaptation, and I just hope you can appreciate the movie for what it is. James Wong adapted all he could into a 2 hour movie. But this is HIS movie, and HIS interpretation of the legacy.

You can whine as much as you want, though I think you are overreacting. And to post it publicly is just asking for it.
I forgot to hit this up before. Keep in mind the Video was also meant to be half comical. But just because I am posting my feelings on a Video rather than simply text doesn't change anything. A Video gets my feelings across better and I don't mind putting what I think out there.

I would have rather it been something else. I don't mind the lack of antenna's. But green is like Piccolo's, well, "Trademark". (Yes I know every Namek is green, but still).

Why? It implies that the 'ol man's gonna see some combat. This is bad how?
What I meant was Goku's son, Gohan. Yes it does make sense that they mean Grandpa Gohan (and that would be awesome), but every time that they mention him they cleary say
Grandpa Gohan; so I'm pretty sure that they are not talking about him in this case and are talking about his grandson.

How on earth does the notion of Gohan, a martial artist trained by Roshi and the guy who raised Goku and taught him the basics, having a stunt double = negative?
I agree. What's wrong with old Gohan doing something other than getting smashed?

But he IS green, just a faded green because of his age. Don't worry, he'll be green when it makes sense to the story.
Also, why are people forgetting these were unfinished screen captures that weren't meant to be seen?

Gohan Jr in this movie already? That's silly. They don't need to have the title "Grandpa" before his name to make clear that's the Gohan they mean. In fact, I think the "Grandpa" has been used barely once or twice all this time.

Nothing! Absolutely nothing, I just think that they are talking about Goku's son, and that is what I think is "ridiculous", I never said anything was "wrong". And yes, I too would love to see Grandpa Gohan do something other than get stepped on.

It's Voldemort Beige to me

...But I do hope when he regains his youth he's green. Atleast there'll be that.
But I think that when I see this movie there'll be one maybe 2 characters that I can truly latch on to. I'm thinking Kame-sennin. I think he'll be the character who is portrayed most faithfully. To me, even if it's not Goku, if there's just 1 main character portrayed properly, I will have
semi-enjoyment of the movie. I may not LIKE the movie...But I'll at least get some enjoyment out of it.

I think all characters will be portrayed faithfully in the context of this interpretation.

If Goku was in high school, this is how he would act. In fact, now that I think of it, that's the only story change I can think of. High school. Which will last maybe 10 minutes, the rest is pretty faithful.

It's this type of opinion-arguing that got the last two live action movie threads get locked. Not that there is anything wrong with sharing our opinions, but when this thread was started it was pretty much agreed upon that this thread would be primarily used just for announcing things.

But...Goku's NOT a student and this does NOT act like that. Goku was raised in the woods and as a result even if he went to school in the DB series, he'd still be the naive idiot that he always is.

It's just so darn hard not to have such intense discussions on such a big subject.

Mai having the ability to shape-shift isn't faithful.
Infact I don't remember her having any kind of special skill like that outside of operating some of Pilaf's giant robots.
EDIT: Speaking of which I would love to see some Toriyama-esque machines in this movie; no idea if those carried over or not.

Tell me if this sounds like Goku, (paraphrasing):
"Goku is a loving, caring man who acts like a boy at times. He always helps the weak and not only to push his power. He's selfless, and had a great influence on myself."

From what we've seen, Goku's personality is still largely intact. Only time will tell 100% for sure, though.

In the small picture yes. But it's the smaller parts of his personality that make him fully who he is. If you lose those smaller things then you lose what Goku really acts like. It's just like watching the English Dub and hearing things that the characters simply would NOT say,
