Super's finale has to connect to EoZ. I don't want a cliffhanger nor I want it to end without implying EoZ comes immediately afterwards. I'm quite tired of Dragon Ball being tied down to it, the ToP would have been way better had it taken place after EoZ in my opinion, so I really want Super to leave some loose ends, like Freeza getting revived, U6 being brought back, some foreshadowing of a possible Goku vs Beerus rematch etc... Just connect 131 to EoZ, please.

When was the last time Goku got a decent main win? (RoF Freeza and Copy Vegeta were lame)

I can say I would be pretty pissed if after all that build the final match ends in draw or worse... Goku losing.

The last major foe he defeated with his own power was Frieza on Namek. I see Buu as a team effort. There was also Hirudegarn if you want to count the movies.

I hate that attitude, the fans who complain about how Goku always gets the win. A) He really doesn't outside of spin-offs and filler, he hasn't had a clear win over the main threat since Buu, or Freeza if you count the Spirit Bomb as a team thing and B) every arc in Super so far has tried to go for the "twist" ending where the good guys fail and have to be bailed out by the gods, and they've nearly all been worse off for it. I argue now more than ever, it would be appropriate to give us that oh-so conventional ending where Goku beats Jiren, wishes everything back and they all go home for tea. It's not like the other characters didn't get plenty of shine in the Tournament, most got more than they've had in the last two decades.

It'd also potentially set up future plots with him. We know he just has a day to "live" so wouldn't he be sent back to hell regardless of where he is once that day is up ?

Yes it's pop culture. Maybe get outside your own personal bubble? Very rarely do viral videos even reach a massive number like 20 million views. If you take all the popular videos on MUI Goku and add the views it's an astronomical number. It even being a meme is proof enough of what I said.

^on that note, Super is now ingrained in collective consciousness, and will not cease to exist at the end of March.

Just like GT didn't disappear 20 years ago when it ended, despite if people hated it or not.

An entire minute and a half remain in the tournament? I wasn't expecting that. If I'm not mistaken, that means episode 129 only took thirty seconds, correct? In that case, I can't see episode 130 taking any more than thirty seconds either, since Gokū and Jiren will be going all-out, likely fighting at speeds we've never seen before unless SSJ4 Gogeta was at that level back in the day. Continuing that passage of time into episode 131 would leave thirty seconds left in the tournament at the end of the series, so there's bound to be a change in pace somewhere along the way. I'm having a hard time seeing any time remaining for the aftermath and conclusion now. I'm excited to see how the timing will be handled.
