Official On-Going DBZ 2013 Movie Thread: "Battle of Gods"

I'm happy enough to let other people speculate about the Super Saiyan God form.

I just look forward to discovering it, and seeing it in action.

I have a feeling that since it's a Super Saiyan stage, gold hair will be involved. Since GT isn't a factor, everything related to Super Saiyan has involved gold hair. That's the iconic look of the Super Saiyan. For all we know it looks just like regular Super Saiyan, but with some kind of crazy aura with all kinds of special effects to signify the godliness of it. But then again, I'd honestly not be surprised to see something vaguely similar to elyas11's design.

That's how I imagine it to be. I honestly have no idea what to expect, but if I were to design it, that would be it.

On a sidenote, is there any possibility that it might be Gogeta or Vegeta or something..? Or the "new saiyan"? (sorry if this is already asked, so many pages o.O)

It will also be high troll level, as we will have the SSJ God on the poster for the movie allready.

Especially since they say in the trailer "FIND OUT HOW IT LOOKS LIKE IN THE MOVIE!!!", while you already know how it looks like.

IIRC, the movie is confirmed to take place two years after Boo's defeat. But even if I'm wrong, the movie has to take place after less than 5 years after Boo's defeat, since Goten & Trunks are still midgets. So, Bra & Pan can't exist yet, since Bra was 5 & Pan was 4 in the 28th TB.

The oracle fish told Birusu that the SSJG would appear in 39 years, if Goku was born around the time of the prediction it would be about two years after Buu. (he was 37 then)

I really think you guys are overthinking that "one more Saiyan" or "another Saiyan" notion.
Especially judging by where it's placed on the tracklist.

To me, it's obviously just about Goku arriving as the last Saiyan who can still do something once everyone else has been beaten.
There's "one more Saiyan to defeat before the end" or "another Saiyan left", no hidden meaning there.

I can't imagine at all a "new Saiyan" character being revealed, and I don't think it's about the Super Saiyan God either, otherwise it would be something like "another Saiyan state" or "another Saiyan transformation", "another Saiyan form", "another kind of Saiyan"...

That's what I think anyway, but I guess we'll find out in due time!
Anyway, the Super Saiyan God is enough of a shock-moment and big reveal for the movie, I wouldn't expect any more big mythology-shifting event - like suddenly revealing a new Saiyan out of nowhere! - than the ones we already know!

This movie is completely ignoring GT because "GT isn't a part of the original work", and this movie is a part of the official history of Dragon Ball. So no, it's not like the other movies.

It should be noted that the reason why the Oracle Fish's prediction is 39 years is because in Japan the digits in 39 would be pronounced "San-Kyuu," which also happens to be a Katakana rendition of "Thank You." I hear Japanese people often include the 39 in their work to show thanks for their fans for being, well, fans.
