The hoodie comes from this site, looks like it's due to come out this month.

Here is one of those key-chain voodoo dolls in the vein of Goku:

Sorry if this has been posted, and it's more bootleg than official stuff I think...but apparently there's a Tumblr for this.

Not necessarily merchandise, but a bit bizarre; I guess Japan used to have promotional train tickets and in this one they chose to pair Dragon Ball and the American film Predator 2 (one of my favorite series). Two strange characters to see together, and very interesting to say the least.

What the FUCK is the one on the end??!!

It looks like Trunks had a baby with the Nutcracker.
I wipe it off the tile, the light is brighter this time, everything is 3D blasphemy.
My eyes are red and gold, the hair is standing straight up, this is not the way I picture me.
I can't control my shakes, how the hell did I get here? Something about this, so very wrong.
I have to laugh out loud, I wish I didn't like this. Is it a dream or a memory?

I see that http://uglydbzmerch.tumblr.com/ has been referenced in mainly this thread (fittingly enough) so I suppose this is the best place to post this. So forgive the necropost.

A friend linked me to the above tumblr blog recently which is dedicated to showcasing the cheapest, tackiest, most hideously chintzy and fuck ugly bargain basement merchandise to ever be associated with Dragon Ball.

Its been around a few years now (and I see there were a few people in this thread awhile back who knew of it and have experienced its magic) and is quite the rabbit hole of morbidly fascinating, can't-look-away terribleness. It runs the gamut from desk knick knacks to Halloween costumes to underwear and socks to coloring books and so on. The main draw however are the action figures (both official and unlicensed bootleg knockoffs), most of which look as if they were modeled and sculpted after the most awkward and poorly drawn inbetween frames from the anime (or as my friend put it, like the 5 year old slave girl in the Bangladeshi sweatshop just stopped giving a fuck that day).

Its the rough Dragon Ball equivalent to a site like People of WalMart (but without the mean spiritedness).

I'm about as far from a merchandise-focused kinda person as you can possibly get, but this blog had me and several friends in stitches. I felt it deserved some more spotlight here.

Some of my favorite highlights (at least half of these simply need to become peoples' avatars ASAP):

Zephyr wrote:And that's to say nothing of how pretty much impossible it is to capture what made the original run of the series so great. I'm in the generation of fans that started with Toonami, so I totally empathize with the feeling of having "missed the party", experiencing disappointment, and wanting to experience it myself. But I can't, that's how life is. Time is a bitch. The party is over. Kageyama, Kikuchi, and Maeda are off the sauce now; Yanami almost OD'd; Yamamoto got arrested; Toriyama's not going to light trash cans on fire and hang from the chandelier anymore. We can't get the band back together, and even if we could, everyone's either old, in poor health, or calmed way the fuck down. Best we're going to get, and are getting, is a party that's almost entirely devoid of the magic that made the original one so awesome that we even want more.

Even as knockoffs with dubious origins, just who would demand this in the first place?! :D Definitely caught my eye as most hilarious captures.
