He is just doing his job. He probably knows that his style is not the best out there, but he does them on purpose to finish episodes quickly and help other staff.

Anyone have the Full Opening with high resolution?
Hary Price's video is in 480p. But, the ones here are 1080p(?).
I want to download it.
I'm bad at English and still learning. If there's anything wrong, please correct me. :D

So, here's the first coloration errors of the arc

It was meant to be blue, not yellow / gold.

Am I the only one who thinks that Shida's scenes are always way too fast ?
I know what he's trying to do (a combination of fast-paced animation and highly detailed drawings) but it's not easy to appreciate his work, if you are barely able to see all the stuff imo.

It's fast, it's supposed to be fast, but I've never had a hard time seeing what he's trying to convey. Maybe you need to train your eyes to his timing.

He's my favorite animator on DB, regardless.

Art was average in this episode, I expected more as we had several weeks of filler and I didn't like the filter. Looks like Toei let themselves be deluded by the 90's Super videos on YouTube

I know what you mean, one of the biggest criticisms I've heard about Shida's work is that its very rubbery and overly animated at times. However, I think most of his work on Super hasn't suffered from this too much (His cut in #66 had a lot of other problems though).

My biggest problem with his work on Super is that it hasn't been shaded well. What's your issue with 66? It worked just fine for me.

Turns out Sakurada is crefited as a producer, so it's actually a seperate role.

Might not be best place to ask but I heard that the sound effects in today's episode were the same as the ones in DBZ, is that true? I've never really noticed much difference but if true that's good for people who care.

God dammit. Also, what is the role of producer other than assisting the director?

Almost certainly not, they probably don't even have those effects any more. I don't have an ear for that kind of thing anyway, though, so don't mind me.

fast as he is, He often obliterates actual flow from his work... He can either hit the mark or completely miss it and when he hits it, it's bad.

Take this for instance. it's like somebody fast-forwarded a VCR. the movement looks bad, unnatural and "hulky" becase the rest of the scene looks like a fast-forwarded VCR his arm looks like it would take about a year to rotate in real time.

and the timing sucks, and May i just say i despise that mouth movement? Shida's a great animator, no doubt but he is NOT beyond criticism, and his scene timing CAN be abysmal. fortunately it's not so bad here And believe it or not, it's not just because theres no sound. Here are some examples of beautifully timed things without their sound.

I actually saw this without sound first and holy hell the movement is BETTER than the song it's matched to. Seriously, being a dancer myself I can absolutely appreciate the movement, and thats because of the timing

or another example

Timing is everything: In this case, however Nothing about the timing is particularly bad (though it does as a whole move WAY too fast), except for about 1 frame when alien guy's hand Literally jumps position to flash in front of the screen. it doesn't exactly read well and honestly doesnt need to exist. it moves by so quickly it doesnt register to the viewer, so it would have needed to hold for 2 or even 3 frames. or be dropped entirely.
______

In the new opening toward the beginning thank GOD they added some beautiful blurs on the characters as they rapid volley through the scene, the intensity of it, even if it is repeat frames is AMAZING

The key animators and animation supervisors still worked on the fillers, despite being conservative, except Episode #75.

Two animation supervisors constantly helping out each episodes.

Two chief animation supervisors.

No character designer popping up in episodes.

The scripts are rushed.

These are the signs that the production is in a horrible shape.
That's really sad. Hopefully this is the final arc of the anime and then we can finally have some peace.

I noted that, it had some new art, right? It was way better than in its debut.

That's a silly assumption, mate as they still use the same iconic sound effects in mostly all DBZ videogames.

Me neither, mate... His art is dreadful, I wish Yamamuro did some episodes in Super more often.

Maybe they can recycle some of the animation from the OP for when he fights Goku =P
That would be very amateurish.

The filter was absolutely on point. Those scenes inside the Beerus tree/house looked absolutely stunning, because everything blends together so well. The thicker lines help the overall look of the show too.

The opening was amazing too. I hope we see some of that energy and weight in future episodes.
