Latest page shows these guys can damage the likes of 16 in hand to hand combat. But the guy who fought Buu had the strongest tech so far. Anyway this is my favourite battle of the tournament. Awesome combat. I hope it drags on a little. Longer than Gotenks vs Gotenks.

Not really.

"Able to beat a SSj2" and "actually stronger than a SSj2" are two very different things when these guys are involved, since they rely so heavily on their technology and aren't nearly as powerful without it.

As far as speed/strength goes I can't see these guys being any stronger than Imperfect Cell (assuming that #16 here isn't any stronger than #16 in normal DBZ); maybe weaker than after-eating-tons-of-humans Cell actually, based on the slight damage #16 took from that kick vs. the other guy's reactions to #16's attacks throughout the fight. Plus the armor's boosting his durability, so who knows how much damage he'd be taking from #16's hits if he didn't have it.

It's only their special weapons that are powerful enough to hurt/kill a SSj2 or SSj2-equivalent, which means he needs to actually hit #16 with something more than basic punches and kicks to do any real damage. And when you're weaker and (probably) slower than #16, that's not the easiest thing to do.

If the Universe 19 guys actually were SSj2-level rather than "Androids/Cell Saga level, but with super-weapons," then yeah... #16 would have a really hard time doing anything. But thanks to the way the Universe 19 guys work, it looks like it's going to be pretty close.

I don't know. Iron Man does pretty damn good against guys far more powerful than an unarmored Tony Stark.

I think you guys are seriously underestimating U19. Yeah, pull a Buu and take their armor and they're toast. But how many people can really accomplish that? Their armor clearly has the requisite mobility to keep up and they seem to have enough firepower to shred anybody without uber-regeneration. It seems to me that while 16 has to keep chipping away as best he can, Eleim just has to nail 16 with anything in his arsenal.

I'm more amused at the "boosted" comment. U19 does juice!

In the third panel, I just realized the guy had a booster on his back which is why he was able to catch 16 by surprise and slam him into the ground.

It'll be Universe 4 where Buu methodically executes the heroes one by one.

I kid, of course. But I agree. I really want to see 9 and 13's back stories.

It may be strange but it gave me an awesome idea for a power up for Tenshinhan.

In the manga, Tenshinhan is the only one capable of splitting himself. So, if someone taught him how to do the fusion dance (which is not very difficult), he could split himself in two and fuse with himself.

Since the fusion results in a warrior stronger than the sum of its parts, the fusion would be stronger than normal Tenshinhan, giving him a 30 minutes power up.

Following the manga, he would be the only one capable of doing it (since Piccolo can't).
