Preorder bonuses in the US for games from Japan have just been getting crappier and crappier.
Nintendo's been giving US a better treatment than Europe recently:
You guys get the Skull Kid figure while Europe's LE includes a Steelbook case and a pin.. yay.
So really, the situation's getting better and Bandai Namco offering Steelbook cases for XV pre-orders is a sign.

And EU comes with Majora's preinstalled on that super limited edition Majora's mask New 3DS while we have to buy is separately. I'm also not talking just Nintendo. Bamco has been rather cruel to us in the past few years, Yes it's getting better but we still went through a time where JPN gets a exclusive PS3 redo of tales of vesperia with new playable characters, new dungeons and new giganto monsters. Or when we weren't sure if we were getting any tales games after Vesperia. But this is getting off topic. I'm happy they're turning around on this and I hope they keep going this direction.
Going on hiatus. Too much stuff in RL to deal with for me to keep up with posts here for now. Was fun, hope you all have a nice day and future! Volt signing off.

Probably not, because of the potential camera issues. All you'll likely get for local multi-player is the 1v1 they've already covered and potentially tournament mode where you can either face each other or take turns fighting other people.

I just read this post and... is it true?
I know the Xbox family isn't popular in Japan and all, but it still would be a bad move for the individuals who actually bought the consoles.

No way in hell they're going to cancel the XBOX platform version of the game. There is still money to made from. I mean XBOX may have bombed in Japan hard but they going to just pull the plug on those versions of the game, they'll still sell. Bandai Namco are just advertising more on the platforms which are guaranteed to shift big units (PS4 and PS3). Video game publishers do this sort thing all time, they always market the game as if they only going to sell on this one platform even though you know it's a multi-platform game. It's usually just some exclusivity deal that results in this, Activision does it with Call Of Duty and Xbox, Ubisoft does it with Playstation and Sony etc.

The latest Japanese trailer for the game lists Xbox One and 360. The TV commercial (which was uploaded the same day as that newest trailer) only mentions the PS3 and PS4 versions, but the ad starts off with a PlayStation 20th logo, so it would be a bit weird to mention those other versions.
For the people concerned, this rumour is only about the Japanese Xbox release.

Most likely I would say, but we don't know for sure.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Thanks for those links as I was interested by which 'new' trailers that Gaf user was referring to.
And in case the Xbox versions of XV were cancelled there wouldn't be internet-riots demanding it because the only people picking it up are DB fans, the rest would be indifferent to it. To be honest, I've not seen this on anyone's Top 10 2015 Games list on YouTube so that says something about its popularity.

No way. If Toriyama had even the slightest involvement, it would be plastered all over the promotional material. He's a big sell.

That's most likely just someone trying to cause a buzz. The fact they don't list the trailer that supposedly does this is a sign he is lying. Like a lot of people have said, they wouldn't cancel all that work at the last minute, too much money would be lost.

It was confirmed in an interview with the DB Bandai Namco bigwig Masayuki Hirano that Toriyama designed the new characters for the game, as well as looked over the story.
Toriyama contributed designs to DBO for half a decade, which likely included Towa and Mira, and yet they aren't promoting them as his new characters. Same for the Time Kaioshin, which was the specific example they mentioned in the interview (because Demigra wasn't revealed yet).

I mean some of it is in some way Toriyama influenced considering that some of these things are remnants of dbo which he is involved in to some degree however I don't know about demigra.

The Xbox version of this game will likely sell in the vicinity of 5000 units in Japan. For a multi-billion dollar corporation like Bandai Namco, that's nothing.

I'm talking in terms of development. Why invest that much time and money into a version then cancel it last second? Especially since the 360 version requires a different dev kit then the Xbox 1 version. In Japan the Xbox versions might not sell well but everywhere else? I actually won't be surprised if the 360 version sits within the top 3 in sales.
