What's the point in buying games on launch now? 99% of them are incomplete.

Dude, the main focus of Xenoverse is the Z portion of the story with a little bit of GT on the side. GT it self is a side story, so why can't be released as DLC? Hell, this will actually increase the shelf life of the game and its not like it wasn't stated that DLC wasn't going to be in the game.

Funny enough, Raging Blast 1 actually already did a What-if story identical to this, with Vegeta taking over the Ginyu Force and becoming the captain, but we never got to see him posing... until now!

My hype for this game pretty much went completely under the dirt.
DLC packs? Season pass? Pass. I'm not paying the $60 plus whatever they plan on pricing the Season pass at. A lot of these characters should have been in the damn game from the get-go. If I remember correctly, BT3 had many of these characters. This is just an easy cash-grab from Bamco.
Once I spend all that money, what happens next year when the next DBZ game is released and I have to re-purchase ALL those characters all over again? Waste of money in the long run.
I'll use that money for FF Type-0 HD instead.
If anything, I'll wait for the potential GOTY Edition and purchase that for $20 later this year.

This is the first anime game that they give this kind of time and care so hopefully it and it's DLC sell well cause if they don't we'll be back to the BOZ/UT days.

I feel like this is the make or break game for all Dragonball games. They're giving us a gang load of content,Dragonball Online's story, a create your character,A free to run around multiplayer, and probably more crap that I'm not thinking of. they are coming out with the big guns. I'm hoping I love this game better than Budokai 3. I hope the story line menu isn't crazy like raging blast 2. didn't care for the navigation in that at all. I hope as many people as possible support this game but I do understand the hatred for dlc being announced before the game is even released. I'm right there with ya on that! but I'm still going to get the full retail game and we'll see how much the dlc cost is going to be in march.

Most of the characters that are being advertised as DLC, such as GT Kid Goku, GT Trunks and Pan weren't even in the original Datamine, whereas Jaco, Oozaru and Baby Vegeta were, indicating that DIMPS were still deep in development when that leak came out and were undecided about who was going to make the roster. There were obviously no concrete idea about who was going to feature in the game at that time and in what capacity.

Other thing is making extra content as DLC and you have to pay for it.

Honestly, I think the price of the DLC packs is going the deal breaker for many people. The hype for Xenoverse has reached way higher than most were expecting and many people who have played the game or have seen extensive gameplay of Xenoverse are already bought on the game. DLC if handled probably, which honestly it rarely is, can enhance the enjoyment of an game. They over price the DLC packs, and the shelf life of Xenoverse is significantly shorter.

Oh believe, I absolutely think the practice of DLC has become a cancer in gaming. But stuff like Read Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare and The Last Of Us: Left Behind are definitive example how good DLC could be if it's handled properly. Hell, even with all the shit Call Of Duty gets, they can produce some awesome DLC packs every once in a while (Apocalypse and Uprising of Black Ops 2).
