I can provide a couple of bits later if you really want it, but there isn't much of a point to it. There's no real commentary about the haxed state Trunks powers up into after he does so, besides what has already been provided (Trunks saying he wasn't satisfied, Vegeta commenting that he matched SS3 Goku without transforming, etc). It's just Trunks' strength in general.

The form's power when he obtained it.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:Trunks wasn't satisfied with SS2 Goku's power?
- Future Trunks and Goku have started their spar.
Beerus: “Are they both using Super Saiyan 2?”
Whis: “Yes, I think so. Skill wise, they seems about even. Trunks-san might actually be a bit above...”
Goku and Trunks take an intermission.
Son Goku: “I'm impressed, Trunks. Yer better than Gohan at that time.”
Future Trunks: “It has been over 10 years. I've been training really hard, too.”
Son Goku: “Okay, then I'll show ya a whole new world.”
Goku transforms into Super Saiyan 3.
Son Goku: “Hehehe. This is what comes after that.”
Future Trunks: “I see.... Who knew that kind of transformation existed… But… It's not like I was completely satisfied with this form either…”
Vegeta: “That brat! He just powered-up to Kakarotto's level at Super Saiyan 3 without transforming...”
After Goku "cheats" by using Super Saiyan God.
Vegeta: “T-That bastard!”
Beerus: “That Goku. He went God...”
Whis: “That's not very mature of you, Goku-san.”
Son Goku: “Whoa, sorry! Are you okay, Trunks?!”
Future Trunks: “Ah… Yes, I'm okay.”
Son Goku: “Hey, ya really surprised me!! Ya got this strong all on yer own!”
Future Trunks: “N-No.... Even so, I wasn't a match for Black.”

So the Super Saiyan 2 Vegeta's syndrome (which allows him to surpass Super Saiyan 3 Goku) is a genetic trait and Trunks got it too, huh? That's... Uhm... What!?
Trunks not only surpassed Movie 14's Super Saiyan 3 Goku, as he is equal to Future Trunks' saga Super Saiyan 3 Goku too? Okay then.

Thank you. It appears that Trunks started at a level above SS2 Gohan in order to show Goku his original SS2 level from when he obtained the form, and then powered up to the level he reached after further training. So, this has nothing to do with Vegeta's rage boost, or any mastery of the SS2 form.
No, Trunks reached that level because he is a Saiyan Halfling, so he is much more gifted than Goku & Vegeta, and he trained his ass for over a decadeGrimlock wrote:So the Super Saiyan 2 Vegeta's syndrome (which allows him to surpass Super Saiyan 3 Goku) is a genetic trait and Trunks got it too, huh? It doesn't really say much of anything one way or the other. For all we know he might have gotten the Vegeta-esque rage boost during his Boo Arc in the manga and he trained to be able to make it part of his Super Saiyan 2 power all the time afterwards or something. Who knows.

But if it was the same thing Vegeta did, shouldn't it have made SS2 Trunks noticeably stronger than SS3 Goku? That's why it didn't stuck to me well after thinking about it a little more.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:It doesn't really say much of anything one way or the other. Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Maybe Trunks just isn't as angry as Vegeta, so it doesn't boost him as high? Maybe the rage boost isn't a multiplier, and now that we're 3 arcs deeper into the series the characters are stronger and the boost is less effective? I don't know (and to be totally honest, I don't care too much either)...
My point is only that this scenario feels like Toyotaro is channeling the Super anime staff, in that he didn't exactly provide us with a lot of details to clarify the situation. While you can argue that Trunks just doing the hard work to train up to that level might make the most sense to you, there's nothing saying it's any more valid than the other interpretations. I mean, he would have to train to get to the theorized Full Power or Mastered Rage versions of Super Saiyan 2, correct?

Story-wise, it makes sense and is interesting. The only problem comes if one starts narrowing their mind with numbers and tiers and timeframes. Even so, Goku only transformed, he hasn't powered up to the max, so Trunks reaching that level of power only says he was able to greatly improve since Cell.

Ok so.... Goku? the guy that fought a God, the Goku thats training under Whis the master of the God of Destruction? is below Trunks in skill wise? and is on par with Goku's SSJ3 with his SSJ2? whats next? Trunks SSJ3>>>>>>>SSJB Goku and Vegeta?
SSJG Trunks>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>SSJB Gogeta? this is gettin ridiculous. Training alone can only get you so far with the lack of knowledge on other arts whereas Goku is training under someone who lived for millions of years yea seems legit.
And also, Trunks wasnt even a lil bit surprised after Goku 1hit K.O'd him? like a reaction of "what power was that?, how did you instatly get behind me?" or something like that? seems Trunks' non reaction towards Goku's SSJG implies that Black>>>>>SSJG Goku.

Again, please: if you're only interested in debating the relative strength of characters, please use a more appropriate thread. This (or, quite frankly, any other thread here isn't) the place for equations.

Wait, so Trunks is more skilled than Goku now? I expected him to be on Vegeta's level but damn.

Maybe this is something that was already understood, but I guess this confirms, in the DB Super manga continuity at least, that Goku learned to teleport in Trunks's timeline?
I though it was one of the consequences of Cell arriving a year before Trunks and changing the timeline, but thinking back, I think Trunks just said that he didn't know that Goku could teleport (which is why he stepped in against Freeza). He didn't specifically say that in his timeline Goku couldn't teleport.

I ask myself why Whis can't o anything about Black... Or even before about Dabura and Babidi id he knows that Beerus live is in danger and with this the balance of the universe.
Same goes for Zeno sama... Why he never appointed a new God of Destruction or simply clear stuf off himself

Because Whis isn't omnipotent and can't teleport. Dabura, Babidi, and Black can get to the kaioshin before Whis knows and kill him. Than they can run off without whis finding them.Kishido wrote:I ask myself why Whis can't o anything about Black... What makes you think that Whis knew anything about Babidi's plans? Or that Bibidi was killing the Kaioshin in the past? They are not the ones that oversee what happens in the universe, that's the Kaio's & Kaioshin's job.Kishido wrote:I ask myself why Whis can't o anything about Black... And what about Zeno. Whis should have tell him that Beerus is dead or he himself would check out.
