DragonBall Z Abridged

I just wanted to say, I love DragonBall Z Abridged and all the stuff Team Four Star has done. If it wasn't for you guys, I wouldn't have even gotten into the series in the first place. And I'm really excited for both Ep 51 and DBcember. Keep up the great work!

Are you guys going to abridge the original Dragon Ball? I am sick of "nobody watched dragon ball" comments in your videos whenever someone mentions an event from the original anime. That would be a great way to promote it, because a lot of american fans still havent seen it, even though thats literally third of the manga/anime and its 2015.

How odd. Dragonball was shown during Toonami's heyday, I figured anyone who at least watched Z would have seen Dragonball by now.

Yeah the people in my school growing up watched both shows and even GT. I remember the people at the lunch table thought it was cool to see what Goku's life was like first before DBZ. I know one person in my class in the 7th grade that thought DB was better then DBZ.

If they were to abridge Dragon Ball, it could work by framing it as a flashback (maybe Gohan asking how his father and mother met). Goku and the other Z Fighters could poke fun at past events and it’d make for a lot of comedic potential. They could even condense episodes to go through the series faster like with Z already.

Or maybe do the movie trilogy and have Goku tell the story horribly inaccurately to the annoyance of his friends.

DB itself has been officially redone a few times there's a ton of material that could be used to make a quick recap.

-Curse of Blood Rubies and The Path to Power cover the first 1/3.

-Sleeping Princess/Mystical Adventure do the rest.

-Evolution covers the Piccolo arc.

People don't stop talking about Broly (has ever an anime movie character so popular?!) and the fact his movie is close, I start wondering how TFS will manage his character.
Broly's dialog is no much different from a Pokemon. Only instead of saying his name, he says Kakarrot 95% the time.

Well, in Movie 8, he had some dialogue, like "You wanna return to your planet?" before blowing it up, or "Show me what you've got, before i make you fall to my knees" to Vegeta, generic Saiyan trash talk, still much better than becoming Pokemon in Movie 10

Agreed. In movie 8 he was fine. Not everyone's cup of tea, but he's pretty much at least on par with the other movie villains which weren't that great either during the 13 movie run. It's movie 10/11 that are ridiculous with Broly. Being brain dead, and then a sludge monster who says nothing.

Most of the dislike from Broly I see (including from myself) are more towards his fan boys who claim he's the strongest, but I agree. I actually really liked M8 and Broly's characterization in it.
