Well from what I heard funimation considers kai and z two different properties so maybe with it being related to z they used some of their old cast

That's something I've heard too, and it's possible I guess. From what I was told it's also the reason that they used John Swasey for the narrator of Curse of the Blood Rubies rather than the man who was already doing Kai, so that each series 'brand' had it's own narrator - DB has John Swasey (since Brice Armstrong retired), Z has Kyle Hebert, GT has Andrew Chandler, and Kai has...I think his name is Doc Morgan, isn't it?

Now we've got Fukkatsu no F on the way though, and Sabat at least fully intending to use Ayres from Kai rather than Young from Z, so...it's all getting hard to figure out for sure, at this point.

Ayers has been the best addition to the Dragon Ball voice cast in my opinion. His performance as Freeza stole the show in Kai in my opinion and he's really giving Ryūsei Nakao a run for his money in regards as to who voices Freeza the best.

No harm no foul bro! Overall I like both and I think they both give a different personality to Freeza. Either is a fine choice in my opinion but with Young giving Ayers the thumbs up I think I'd like to see more of him! Hence why I'm looking forward to the Freeza stuff in this game! (BOOM! Subtle tie in back to the topic! )

Gotta say though the first pack is very strong in the Season Pass but I am not a fan of paying for a complete mystery in the second pack and the third pack looks very weak. I don't care about Jaco in the slightest and it doesn't look like that set has any new characters or quests. But who am I kidding will probably still get it lol. Also we have to pay for Jaco and the Roshi DLC, seems a bit unfair as Japan get him for free basically.

As for the voice actor debate I still haven't warmed up to any of the kai actors honestly. I think the funi dub for z is pretty much perfect (in terms of voice talent, theirs some obvious writing issues and unnecessary changes). I really don't like the new Freeza voice, he sounds like some spoiled thirteen year old, yes I know that's his character but the old Freeza just had that perfect level of ruthlessness in her voice. The new Android 18 is absolutely horrible. I was so happy to hear classic 18 in Battle of Gods, hopefully she is back here as well.

This is the first time that he is avaliable as a playable character in a DBZ fighter since Final Bout, and hey it also included more Time Patrol Quests and Side Quests along with items for the CaC (WHERE'S MY COLOR EDITING!?). I don't know you guys, I still find it wierd that a DBZ game is getting season passes for DLC that locks characters and other stuff that IMO should have been in the main game, and considering how DBZ games have been treated, who knows what will happen when a new one is released.

I'm normally hesitant to support these types of DLC shenanigans... but this is a healthy amount of content, and Bamco's generosity in localization and stuff over the past few years has earned it from me, I think.

Yep, the content was cut. DLC pack one will come out a mere month after release.

This fucking sucks.

At least it isn't Day 1 or week 1 DLC as a lot of games are these days, including games like Guilty Gear Xrd where Leo was a DLC character a week after release. This is a month later for pack 1 with the other 2 later on.

Maybe. I mean it depends, we could get super evolution (Which many believe is in there cause they spotted a super evolved Freeza race in one of the hub worlds in the livestream...wait a minute..can we transform in the hub world?!) I'm wondering what else is in these packs, I hope some new tricks for the human race to give them a small leg up. I still feel that they are underpowered compared to everyone else. OH! What about a mecha freeza race form?!

All this DLC and season pass plans show that BN obviously have faith in Xenoverse becoming one of, if not the, best selling game in the franchise. And sure as hell is shaping up like that.
