Too bad Piccolo didn't get a new outfit.

Oh wait, he doesn't need one ^_^

From the first time the movie poster was shown, I've thought it was kind of weird that Bulma's dress is pretty much exactly the same as her Boo saga dress, except now it's purple instead of red. I imagine her being more of a fashionista and switching up her clothes more (she certainly has the money to do it, and she always wore more varied clothing before). Maybe she just found a silhouette she liked for her *ahem* aging body and stuck with it?

Also still wondering why the Vegeta movie figure is wearing his Boo saga clothes when every single trailer and promotional image has shown him in his armor. I guess he changes clothes at some point along with the other characters seen wearing more than one outfit.

Especially with how drastically different Yamcha, Tenshinhan, and Kuririn's outfits changed. It makes Bulma's outfit staying mostly the same look especially unusual considering her personality.
I do like Bulma's Buu arc hair better than her End of Z hair though, so for that I'm glad they stuck with it.

Vegeta wearing his Buu arc outfit makes the figure even more confusing on top of that face and pose (both of which look far too ooc for his pride to stand XD ). I don't think that's something he'd naturally do, even sarcastically. It's why I'm leaning towards the "it's a magic spell" theory. >_> Kind of like they're spoofing Majin Vegeta, only instead of bringing out his "evilness" this magic does something silly instead?

Yeah! I wish they could have had Bulma wear a different outfit! That's like her thing!

Kamesennin wearing crocs is still something else. XD
I think the crocs are a nice and subtle way to update this in the 21st century, and how awful they look, but I'm sure Roshi doesn't think so! Hahaha. Oh it made me laugh.

I am still loving that Toriyama and Toei went back to Goku and his symbol. It makes sense and also looks cool. His dougi doesn't look so plain!

We won't ever know, Goku ssj3 didn't even have lightning in the aura in the trailer, and the lightning in the aura is the only way to tell with Vegeta. They pulled that shit with Gohan in the second Broly movie.

It'd still be a plot hole, because they don't explain it. While it's possible that GT takes place in a universe or timeline where Gohan could always turn Super Saiyan, unless that's said, it's a plot hole.

Anyone notice that there seems to be three slightly different animations for the Kamehameha above Earth? Maybe he fires multiple in that fight.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... n8vR5HGiFs (0:09)- Has a slightly more yellow-ish tint.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAyLJq08lZo (0:58)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-f2V4jmo8L0 (0:57)

Couple of other things:
- The scene where Uisu's flying along in the new trailer is the same location that Birusu speaks to the Oracle Fish in those earlier screen shots.
- Holy shit, the new trailer already has half a million views after only 2 days.

How? A plot hole is a inconsistency in the story line. That's exactly what Gohan turning into a Super Saiyan without explanation is.

Explanation = not a plot hole.

No explanation = plot hole, no matter what any fan comes up with.

The IMAX theaters look so cool. *_*
It's been a while since I've been to one, but they're always impressive. I can only imagine how this movie looks on an IMAX screen.

Also happy that they went back to using the "GO" kanji on Goku's gi.

No a plot hole is if it directly contradicts the story completely, no one ever said he COULD NOT go super saiyan, they just said it would be no good. In 2 years, its very likely that his power decreased from putting off training to focus on intellectual pursuits and thus he uses Super Saiyan to make up for that power decrease. An inconsistency is different than a full on plot hole I thought?

This is completely correct, and unfortunately DBGT was full of these.

Though to be fair if Toriyama continued Dragonball he probably would've forgotten about Mystic Gohan too, so it's probably more accurate and consistent with the original work than people think, lol.

This latest wrinkle to the Ultimate/SSJ Gohan debacle reminds me of Kojima trolling the fandom with the promotional material for MGS2.

Goku and Vegeta could have sparred frequently in these 2 years allowing their powers to skyrocket. Vegeta's pride tends not get in the way anymore.
Or maybe perhaps Goku was already stronger than Gohan to begin with in the Buu saga. Makes sense. I mean Vegeta did confirm that the battle between Goku/Kid buu would determine the fate of the universe and concluded that Goku was #1 and the only one capable of going up against him. Nobody actually stated that Gohan surpassed Goku during that time.

The Japanese animated title of the episode when Buu is killed is even called : Son Goku is the strongest afterall!"

Gohan demolishes Super Boo. Goku doesn't want anything to do with Super Boo. It may not have ever been outright, dead on said that Gohan is stronger than Goku but the proof is in the pudding...or chapters.

A lot of you people on Kanzenshuu underpower Goku inconsistently, even putting him below Gotenks and claiming the gap in their powers is too massive. So how is it that you come to the conclusion that Goku got that much stronger in that short amount of time. Why is it so hard for people to believe that Goku being stronger than Gohan in the Buu saga to begin with is actually highly possible/likely. I mean Vegeta did confirm that the battle between Goku/Kid buu would determine the fate of the universe and concluded that Goku was #1 and the only one capable of going up against him. Nobody actually stated that Gohan surpassed Goku during that time. Even the Kai's who were obsessively impressed with Gohan's ki in the beginning of the saga, yet once Goku is restored to life, the kai's all rely on Goku to save the day and forget about Gohan not giving one mention if he would be able to fight Kid buu like Goku did. Infact, Goku never even goes all out until the Kid buu fight.

After Buu's defeat, Gohan probably slacked off again, seeing as how he settled down with Videl, became a scholar, had a kid. Well, this is before a lot of that, but it's likely Goku kept up his training better than Gohan after Buu's defeat.
Kentai wrote:Son Gokuu is a fascinating character anyway, because he is - at face value, anyway - an idiot savant. But he's also a fighter, through and through [...] he fight until he has, in no uncertain terms, beaten his enemy on terms they can both acknowledge. He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can.
