Based on the above, I pre-ordered next month's Saikyō Jump since I missed the original printings of Episode of Bardock, and was unaware of the compilation release that added the extra pages until it was too late. Whatever is inside (new material, Ooishi's JSAT adaptation or maybe both), it'll be nice to have in its entirety.Herms wrote:Oh, looks like it's also going have (other) manga drawn by Ooishi. I think the implication is that it's stuff newly drawn for this "super kanzenban". Maybe. And there's a Bardock DBH card.
And dont buy the season versions as they have the Kikuchi score all the way through. The 8 Part sets have Yamamoto up to episode 54-55 I believe.LettuceJUMP wrote:Get the blu-rays! The difference is worth it
I think that's pretty subjective. Personally, I'd have to respectfully disagree. IMO, a Blu-ray release should be significantly sharper and clearer, visually than it's standard definition counterpart. While the opening and ending theme songs do look gorgeous in HD, the rest of the series looks quite soft. Very nearly standard def, in my eyes.LettuceJUMP wrote:Get the blu-rays! I have season 3 on blu ray.LettuceJUMP wrote:Get the blu-rays! The difference is worth it
For the season sets I only have season one and three. I plan on getting season 4 on blu ray in a couple of weeks.KentalSSJ6 wrote:And dont buy the season versions as they have the Kikuchi score all the way through. Why is Pilaf green?

I checked around and the official ones were green too. These would seem to be legit.Gonstead wrote:Bootlegs ahoy!AjayLikesGaming wrote:Snagged all 8 of these for $36. No idea if that's a good price but hey ho, they're purdy.

Wow! That's so cool! The issue with Dragon Boy. You got to the very roots of Dragon Ball. It was worth 'digging' the Internet for that. You sure know what's good when it comes to DB stuff. Congrats'!oldboy88 wrote:Got the Fresh Jump Issue were the Dragon Ball Prototype was released ..
He wasn't calling them bootleg because of green!Pilaf, because even the official release uses Toriyama's green color scheme. He said it because of the obvious lack of quality in comparison to the official ones. :/AjayLikesGaming wrote:I checked around and the official ones were green too. These would seem to be legit.

Hrm, I'm not sure that's indicative of a bootleg though. I have plenty of official figures that have issues standing perfectly on their bases. The only differences I see between what the initial photo and official listing would be the saturation and contrast of one vs. the other. The actual figures look the same unless I'm totally missing something here.Gonstead wrote:Yep. Compare between the official picture and that picture you posted. Look closely at the feet especially on Shu and how it's not flat standing.
