I would love to have an anime to go along with this game. If not a series, at least a special of some sort.
On hiatus.

I figured it was a case of "future bad guys going back to control past bad guys" thing. I was joking.

The plot does seem to be getting increasingly stupid though, even for Dragon Ball. That's some straight up Rita Repulsa shit going on there. I can't wait for people to laud this continuation over GT in future years.

This Miira guy must be really weak if Bardock can kill him. The Makaioshin is probably even weaker.

Does really anyone take GT as a continuation of Dragonball?

Sorry, this may have been asked before but I'm not actively tracking this topic... Any word in an English release yet?

I assume you meant that in a sarcastic way, because GT's plot is looking ten times as better than that time travel bullshit in DBO. It's already been done in DB before, people.

Your trolling is really bad. If you don't like the game why don't you just fuck off?

GT is a rehash of every previous single arc of Dragonball. Plus it is freaking incoherent.

Judging from your response...his trolling (if that's even what he was doing) looks like it was successful.

While the Black Star Dragon Ball arc was similar to early Dragon Ball, it was different to it in that it contained way more fighting and space travel. The Babi arc was similar to the OVA plot wise, but the execution was entirely different.

Okay yes, the Super #17 arc was a rehash of the Androids arc, but the Evil Dragons arc was like nothing we've seen before.

Care to elaborate on this incoherence?

It was listed so many times already I'm not going to enter again into this territory. Either way we are off-topic too.

Way to handle someone having a different opinion then you bro.

No, the Korean version is free to play, and other versions of it probably will be. However, there's a cash shop in the Korean version.

That was sort of the problem. Online feels like Dragon Ball.

That post was full-on sarcasm.

It's not a huge issue, because GT is properly canon to the anime and DBO is (currently) canon to the manga, but you know people are going to ignore that and say, "Nuu! GT didnt happen never cuz Toriyama did DBO's story!1!"

Which, yeah. I guess he kind of did. But with all the caveats of "Make sure this allows us to build an MMORPG around it, and work in as many old character cameos as possible." The end result can only be something really, really stupid and contrived. I like some of the premise elements, such as the character epilogues and the Makaioshin (if that turns out to be true), but as a solid story? It doesn't look like it will hold up at all. We'll have to wait for the finished product, but that's where I stand right now.
B wrote:That was sort of the problem. Online feels like Dragon Ball.
Honestly, I couldn't disagree more. And I'm not trying to be contradictory just for the sake of contradiction. Online feels like Dragon Quest with a worse plot and some Dragon Ball cameos thrown in. And that's not just because it's an RPG. It's the entire aesthetic.

Also, VegettoEX, I hope this doesn't come off as inflammatory. I think it deserves some discussion, and is going to continue to come up. Should it maybe go in a new thread, or is this fine?
