I love how when all of the characters are standing there near Enma, they don't have any faces, just a huge cross where their faces should be.

Actually, its pretty hard to draw details that small. A lot of great artists, especially the ones who draw by hand, just leave those tiny and far away details undrawn.

Toriyama does that many times, for example.

Why? Honestly, even though this special wans't anything good, at least it portrays death in Dragon Ball as it should be: no big deal.

They know for a fact that there is another world waiting for them where they will probably get to even keep their bodies and never age, and do almost everything they want while spending time with their family and friends.

Basically, they were just forced to live elsewhere instead of Earth. The only bad thing about dying was the pain they felt while fighting Bojack and their sore pride.

I'd expect at least Vegeta to go ape shit, especially after his reaction to losing to Android 18 and Cell. Yet he stood there calmly in this manga.
Sure, I could see the others being calm and all, but not Vegeta. But I guess that we could take into account his reaction to failing to kill Buu later. Maybe he matured in some kind of way after the Cell arc.

Well, I'm not sure if Vegeta should be there at all. If he died at this time, he would probably just be sent to hell for all the innocents he killed. He only truly reformed himself in the Buu arc.

Anyway, he could have gone all ape shit off camera and has calmed down in the meantime.
