I can't remember if that's the show Julian stayed up to check out a little bit earlier today and then fell asleep because it was so vapid.

I was getting a play-by-play of the terribleness of the show; they did a little DBZ stuff showing off foreign fans, a flipbook thing on YouTube, etc. Same show?

They also showed a door inside Toei Animation's office, which probably spoils Super Saiyan God Goku:




I guess this is how Super Saiyan God looks because you can see Goku's hair being red while transforming to SSJG in the latest trailer.

It's so minimalistic it's nothing any of us would've expected.

Please, please, please let that really be what Super Saiyan God looks like. I was getting so sick of the over-the-top fanart designs.

On the possibility of that being what SS God looks like...hmm. I dunno, I like it, and it's certainly not anything like what we'd have expected - but I can definitely see how it may be a bit disappointing from a marketing perspective too. I mean, there was that one toy line that had the blacked out box for the Super Saiyan God toy. And this is probably what the final figure of that original set of toys we saw ages ago is...and it's just going to be Goku with reddish tint to his hair while having the SS aura?

Thematically though, I can get behind it. It would be cool to see the final fight have Goku back with, more or less, his traditional look instead of the blonde hair or anything else done radically to him.

It's not the elaborately splendorous-looking transformation I imagined it would be (kinda disappointed, was hoping for something prettier; at least I got my own version of it out in time), but hey, he's got his eyebrows. XD

Huh... if that IS what Goku's "Super Saiyan God" state will look like, I'd be okay with it. I'd certainly prefer it over all the overblown, SSj4-esque fanmade designs we've been seeing.

It would, however, potentially complicate some GT Revised stuff more than SSj Gohan ever would, though...

Same here, it reminds me all of the fan art designs that people are doing with the upcoming Godzilla film. I think international screenings would be awesome as well. I'm still hoping we could get a screening at Otakon maybe this year (I kinda doubt it) or next year. Baltimore is only like 20 minutes away from my house .

No, no. I meant that I appreciate you're worried about people taking it and not giving credit to where you're first posting it, but I have such a huge problem with other people watermarking materials they don't own that it would seem hypocritical of me to accept something like that on my own behalf. It's not like I actually did anything to get the image .

I guess. It's still way too similar for me, though. I'm expecting something completely original. I'm not expecting over-designed, and this certainly is not over-designed, but it still doesn't strike me as being what this "Super Saiyan God" form will ultimately be.

I suppose it is a tad anticlimactic after all that build-up, but if I had to choose between that and something more over-the-top, I'd instantly choose this. Besides, this looks like concept art. Maybe they'll find a way to make it flashier in the actual film.

I had a feeling that they would go for a false SSj type of design. I'm pretty happy with the design that we got, but I'm pretty some fans will be upset since it won't be a hardcore type of design.

I feel sorry for Vegeta. He is currently the weakest Saiyan. Goku is gonna get Super Saiyan God, Gohan is the Mightiest Warrior, and Goten & Trunks have Fusion + Super Saiyan 3. And he is still a Super Saiyan 2...

Nah, Goten is the weakest Saiyan. Gotrunks is a fusion and in that case Vegetto/Gogeta > Gotrunks anyway.

Well, in the False Super Saiyan state, the hair still went up into the Super Saiyan hairstyle, just didn't change colors, right? Or am I misremembering, and it just looked like that due to how much rushing around Goku was doing? Whereas, this version keeps Goku with his iconic hairstyle that he's had since the start of the series.

So in that sense, I kind of appreciate the look, if this is really SS God's design - but I'm still not really feeling that's it yet, probably. Maybe. Or something.

That toy could be Bilus's or Uisu's final form, rather than SSJ God Goku.
