I'm gonna have to agree. While that looks better than what was in BoG...it's very lifeless.

The set itself (stage, scenery, etc) was alright I suppose, but yeah, the character models look very out of place in my opinion.

So, it turns out The Castle of Cagliostro was done in four months. Of course, there were numerous talented animators on that film, so I get the feeling Fukkatsu no F will not be as lucky, despite a similar production time.

Hahaha yeah, I'm sure that's a special case.

On a random side note the exchange rate between the Yen and the Dollar isn't so good this time around so it might cost it a few million on the worldwide dollar scale.

Back then 3 billion Yen was about $30 million but now it's only about $25 million.

100 Japanese yen is currently 0.8507 ($00.86) US Dollars. The US is doing better then Japan, but this film is going to be so cheaply produced that 3 billion yen is still going to be a lot of money, assuming the film even makes that much yen. I assume if our currency is equivalent to so much of the Japanese yen then their economy cannot be doing to swell right now.

Maybe some site updates too.

The exchange rate isn't a reflection of one economy "doing worse" than another. Having a low value currency (compared to other nations) is good if you are an exporter because it means that other countries can easily buy your goods (a 10 dollar T-shirt is worth lots of yen, so the local cost of production is greatly exceeded by the conversion when it is sold at market price abroad), whereas a high value currency means that your exports could be too expensive for others, but it's good for importing because it means only a tiny amount of your money buys a lot in terms of a lower valued currency.

Of course, it gets more complicated than this. The point is, a "weak" currency isn't necessarily a bad thing. In fact, if you want a balance of trade surplus (your exports higher than imports), and more of your currency flowing into the country, then having a "weak" currency is a good thing all other things being equal.

Incidentally, Japan is struggling with slow growth at the moment, but the relationship with how strong or weak the currency is is complex because there are so many other things to consider.

Agreed. Those character and staff pages on the Dragonball2015 site, I'm expecting them to finally appear.

Fujisawa Ken'ichi was back at Toei Animation recently working on Go! Princess PreCure Episode #1, so I hope he was able to work on Fukkatsu no F, too. Fujii Shingo, too~!

Ah, I see. I had the sense it was a little more complicated than that, so thanks for letting us know!

Well, someone had to work in the movie even if we don't get tweets about it.
Unless Yamamuro did evertyhing alone. :P

I really liked that scene from Fujii Shingo.

So this Insert Song scene better be as intense as the song. [F] goes hard, so I hope Fukkatsu no [F] does.

I'm sure it will. They're not going to half-ass one of the defining scenes of the movie.
Of course, I could be overestimating Toei.

Think we'll get a Ginyu Frog cameo for RoF?

Nah, the Ginyu Frog died when Namek exploded. He's long dead. But I wouldn't mind a cameo. :P I don't why, but something about a frog performing poses just makes me laugh so much. :D

I think it's because it reminds me of this.

So much agreement. Not telling us anything conversation-creating plot info really kills the hype.
BOG's lead up was way more fun because we'd get bits of info along the way.
