Anyway I had no idea he had experience as a supervisor before so could he potentially become one for
Super in the future?
Indeed, Higashide supervised episode 170 of Fairy Tail. He didn't provide any animation for the episode himself, however, and the episode wasn't very well animated, I think. As I don't know how the schedule for Fairy Tail was, I can't say whether or not this means that Higashide wasn't good at supervising. Fairy Tail isn't that well-animated of a show in general, however, so the outcome of the episode might have been beyond his control. However, this is only one of three times he was credited as animation supervisor on animator's corner. Considering this was also the last time he was credited as an animation supervisor, and that it was four years ago, perhaps he didn't like being an animation supervisor and chose to just do key animation instead. Of course, that's just speculation. I know animator's corner only has credits for a certain amount of shows, so it probably doesn't show all he has worked on, but he has been credited a lot for key animation since, so it's likely he hasn't been a supervisor very often in the last four years.
I think that since he's a very fast and skilled animator, his current role for Super suits his skills well. If he became a supervisor instead of animating relatively short bits on a lot of different episodes, I think the average animation quality of episodes would decrease.

My favourite piece of animation he did is probably the short fight of Goku vs. Merged Zamasu in episode 66. It's very fluid and each kick has a lot of impact.
