So Goku and his friends set of to namek to look for dragon balls so that they could revive their dead friends that were killed by the saiyans while at the same time meeting their next foe who was also there after the dragon balls to grant his immortality. The Plot in the Freeza saga was a lot better than any later DBZ saga's who just happened to have villains that wanted to kill Goku. Also when Goku first time became a super saiyan after loosing his friend krillin!!! Are you serious, you think this was least favorite moment? ssj2 and ssj3 cant even compare to that.
I agree with Captain Space.
You need to take this debate to another thread.

Calling someone "not a true fan" because their opinion is different to yours is not cool.
Well then how can you be a dragon ball fan when you dont like dragon ball? You either like it or you dont like it. Frieza saga is what defined Dragon ball Z, Super Saiyans, Iconic Villians etc No other Anime back in day and even Today could compare to Goku vs Frieza battle. I mean almost every battle in DBZ is known to drag out because its anime. Clearly if he bothered to even read the manga, he wouldn't have sit thru 4 hours of goku and frieza make their first move.

Everyone has different opinion. If someone doesn't like Freeza saga doesn't mean she/he isn't a true fan.

Being a fan does not equal liking every part of a series. You can criticise something you like.

And nowhere is it written that every fan has to like this or that part. They obviously do like Dragon Ball, they're on this forum. They just don't like that one arc compared to the rest.

That is called subjectivity.

Works of fiction are subjective.

That's why there's such thing as "favourites" and "least favourites". Because there is no definitive 'right answer'.

My personal favourite part of Dragon Ball is the saiyan/Frieza arcs. But I respect that other people disagree. In fact I welcome it, because it generates interesting discussion.

I think it's a popular opinion thing. If you dislike something that most people agree that is good then everyone will jump you on it.

So tomorrow is the big day huh? I'm excited for it but at the same time I'm equally as worried that they've gone and f*cked it up with this retelling nonsense.

It'll likely cut my enjoyment in half if that's what they've done.

While I'm not in anyway a fan of what Super is doing with BoGs and RoF and has somewhat lessened my hype for the series, I'm still hyped for tonights episode (8:00 EST for those of us who live in the US). :) Looking forward to that scene of Beerus and Whis from th first chapter the most.

I figured "Super" was Toriyama's, but interesting bit regarding the thick plot, script with a cover and everything. It seems Toriyama is really excited about this.

Horikawa's comment about the 2nd episode gives me hope of good character development too. Directly following up on post-Buu Vegeta is something wasn't really explored yet.

The hype is real. Imma be a day behind since I'm on the road. But this Goten episode... it's already better than DBZ. Truly wonder if every character or relevant character will get a slice of life episode.

Imagine Piccolo and Pan. Or Bra and Vegeta. Chris Sabat better be on his A game. Imagine Goten cockblock Trunks with Mai.

I always liked Goten more than Gohan. I hope to see more of him in Super, evedince thus far looks promising!
