- Characters show facial expressions when striking an opponent or taking damage.
- Demo ended showing the new futuristic city with the new fighter wearing the Capsule Corp. jacket.

EDIT2:
- Footage was very early in-game gameplay. I can’t emphasize “early” enough; and it still looked quite good.
- We saw three fights: Goku vs. Freeza, Cell, and Buu.
- There will be destructible environments. We’re told that the developers (Dimps) are aiming for full destruction; basically what you would see in the TV shows.
- “Big” character roster that will feature new characters.
- There is one “Mysterious” character that is a combination of various other Dragon Ball characters.
- Players can traverse the levels. Free-roaming in very large spaces. You can be fighting on a platform, go in the air, and then fight underwater.
- Real-time facial animations. This was actually quite impressive. Characters express emotions when hurt, injured, etc.
- Real-time transformations! Yes, you can go super saiyan mid-game. This also means that there won’t be separate characters for normal and super saiyan.
- Game is built on the Havok engine and is “new-gen first”; but will be a cross-gen release.

Regarding the gameplay and transformations, I think some sort of capsule system needs to return, in order to choose which transformations are enabled during the match.
Dimps games always had the character revert to base for when they run out of ki, which is very much like the show, but we should also be able to pick which form we want to start the match with, anyway.

EDIT: Also, did anyone else notice how the shading shifts from when they do and don't have their aura? That seems like a first, in how it's being done.

Pretty sure both of you are mistaking that part with when Goku shows all 3 forms to the fat Majin Boo.

The game look great! I'm just scared about the Ki Charge. ..what you Think guys? There was no ki charge in burst limit...

Raging Blast had that a bit but only when charging ki I think, with the Super Saiyan hair. Could be mistaken, though.

I was gonna say it looked more like Trunks with Dabura's cape, Gohan's hair, and Raditz' scouter.
Its more like Tiens cape now that I look at it. At first glance for me it was Cape = piccolo but, there are no shoulder pads so it must be his. It cant Be Dabura's because it lacks the spiky ends mostly associated with evil. If it is Tien's cape I hope that means we'll finally get his Buu saga costume, something seemingly exclusive to the Budokai games.

Its probably a good estimate to assume Budokai 3's roster minus GT forms will be this roster's limit maybe even Battle of Z's roster. Dimps has never been all that big on character quantities. That is fine I suppose for reasonable purposes but may get a tad shallow if all we get are the arc main characters. Only a thoroughly adiquite Creation Mode would really compensate for the roster lack of originality.

Graphics are near perfect, though I really hope they refine the rendering. Something about Kid Buu's really narrow jaw and long torso kinda irks me, not so much as the flaw's in Spike's models but enough to make it stand out as something odd. Goku looks pretty decent as well but I think the Super Saiyan hair could use more coloring to it, some glow or something much like what I liked about Spike's games and the overall cellshaded shadows could be a tad lightened up on. When I saw the Goku vs Freeza clip it looked like a scene from a western comic page. Its not bad but a bit heavy and distracting. Something about Burst limit looks a tad-better in terms of colouring. The SSJ Colour in this game looks a bit pale.

Its a little sad, I remember real-time facial expressions was something Spike was trying so hard to actually do in 2 games, failed at it each time and Dimps's Demo does it like nothing. They even have something like RB2's impact view already done, but instead you actually can see the character faces.

So far a lot I've seen in this demo alone puts Raging Blast's boasted but never executed concepts to shame.

it's just a my guess but probably we will see many what if characters from Heroes which "strangely" is also a dimps game

xenoverse means "multiverse" to me..and the mysterious guy probably travels across the time and universes..

Well in Dimps games you could always skip forms depending on your ki level so, maybe we can expect that. I just hope the transformations are a bit more dramatic than just a pause then *Poof* SSJ. I want them to go all the way, don't make them long stiff silent loading screens like Spike's but short while dramatic enough to match the later seasons of the show. Something hopefully akin to Burst Limit's would be perfect. I'm still on the fense though if I can Accept Freeza's quick slides or if we need the full sequence. Though I assume hes just gonna get the power-up poof.

Yamcha's is usually a gaurentee. I'm more suspicious of if we're going to get the smaller characters like Chaotsu, Kid Uub, and Evil Buu. Or Movie characters besides Bardock and Broly... or the Females like Videl, Celipa, and Zangya.

If it's really Dimps who is currently developing DBH, I'm sure they won't forget minor character in XV. It has to be at least equal to BT3. No more going back and removing content please.

Writting an original story for the game seems to be similar to what they've done for their Shin Budokai games.

From what we've seen, this game might reunite the best of DBZ games released since Budokai 1: the Budokai combos, the Tenkaichi freedom and speed, the Shin Budokai original story mode, the Ultimate Tenkaichi character creator. I hope we'll have enough characters and stages.

Big roster? I'm sold already lol.

So is true the transformation are like Budokai or BT?
Meaning always start in base and transform that way, or can pick from base/SSJ/SSJ2 etc from the start

If he really isn't a created character, there better be a damn good reason for his shitty appearance in the game's story mode... :/

STILL I scared Battle of Gods and SSj Bardock might not show up...
We need them in EVERY game from now on...

Time for some new characters as well. SSj3 Vegito and Gogeta from Heroes???

I know he's not really a popular character? but I like him a-lot and I'm hoping Paikuhan gets in this game. I can't remember if it was raging blast 1 or 2? but I used to have a blast playing as him. :)

We dont need what-if characters. If they merely include GT characters we'd have more than a sizable roster.
Would be nice to have more of the Evil Dragons for once or even Lood/Redict/Rild.
