Does anyone find it weird when Goku shrunk in GT they started showing his thing again despite him still technically being an adult?

I never thought much of it. It's never done in an adult or sexual context, just the same as when he was actually a child. As long as they aren't showing adults' fully developed penises, I think it's fine.

The second from the last page of Dragon Ball Chapter 245, (or Dragon Ball Z Chapter 51, cause Viz). In the anime, I think it's episode 38, but I could be wrong.

Why do Goku and Vegeta eat a Senzu bean each and then merge into Vegetto?
If they merged into Vegetto first and then ate a single Senzu, wouldn't it have the same effect and in fact save another Senzu?
Senzu beans are precious when you're dealing with an immortal enemy and you only have one hour at a maximum to even stand a chance against them.

It's likely their current health affects the fusion. Old Kaioshin
warns against merging while in the Super Saiyan state, after all. If anything, they would defuse quicker than they did in the original version thanks to the ki consumption.

Senzu beans are precious when you're dealing with an immortal enemy and you only have one hour at a maximum to even stand a chance against them.
Most likely Goku's and Vegeta's weakened state would also result a weakened Vegetto, and since Vegetto is a completely new being, it wouldn't make any difference if he ate a senzu after that.
It's kind of like how Elder Kaioshin warned Goku not to use Super Saiyan right before fusing, because they could no longer be able to revert back to their regular states if they do that.

Re-reading DBZ and I realized Gohan saved Vegeta's life twice.

Gohan flew Vegeta away from Recoomes blast and protected him against Cell.
