I've got a ton of pictures I could share, but I'm only specifically showing my redesigns. I'm curious what people think of the concepts (detailed in the commentaries).

I'm hoping to get some actual DBZ-themed art up at some point this week but majorly, anything I post here will be oriented towards my DB sequel fic. But I'll post some of the stuff I'm more pleased with from this past year...

DB IGNO: Vol. 1 Cover
The "cover" to what would be the first "volume" of IGNO (the first five chapters). This isn't all too bad, all things considered (even if I suck at digital coloring), but the one thing I'm most displeased with is that the katakana for IGNO reads "ai jii en o" when I am now fairly certain it's meant to be "enu" >< Bah...

DB IGNO: Vol. 1 Back Cover
The "back cover" to what would be the first "volume" of IGNO (the first five chapters). I went a little crazy with bar code and whatnot, and the drawing is rather sucky, but meeeeeeeeeeeeh...

DB IGNO: Vol. 1 Character/Story So Far Page
Since it's the first "volume", I didn't include the yet-to-be-introduced characters in this recap page. So I just did Chibi's of the Z characters who will eventually (with the exception of Gokou) become pivotal in the series. Also having to draw Nerd Gohan made me want to punch something really, really badly.

DB IGNO: Prologue Title Page
The title pages for the individual fic chapters. This one is for the prologue and sports Gokou and Uubu, as well as a transparent Goten (with short-long hair like at the end of DBZ, allowing my excuse for the fact that I wasn't even aware of how much longer I drew it until recently...he just grew it out over the 3 months between the end of Z and beginning of IGNO ^^; ).

DB IGNO: Chapter 1 Title Page
My version of teen Son Goten. There's graffiti on the wall behind him but it's hard to make out because I did my tones with color highlighter (scanned then in grayscale) and I guess the pink graffiti on the orange wall didn't stand out as well as I thought it would.

DB IGNO: Chapter 2 Title Page
My original character first being introduced as a new student. He uses a surname merely for disguise purposes so he can seem a bit more 'human' when introducing himself, and that surname is 'Kyuu', enhancing the pun on his name (Kyuu Kanba, Saiyajin, don't make me spell it out for you, now...). I chose the Kanji for 'Sudden Death' to represent the 'Kyuu' because I thought it suited him, and also offers a great contrast to the smiley appearance he has here.

DB IGNO: Chapter 3 Title Page
Obligatory color page. Goten and Trunks hanging out on the school roof like a couple of delinquents.

DB IGNO: Chapter 4 Title Page
Man this page was a bitch!! I'm not good with anatomy when it comes to poses like this, so between Goten and 'The Mysterious Boy' he is fighting (something about the way the cloak makes the arm look ><), I dunno...still looks off to me. But this one took about a month before I finally nailed a good enough sketch down that I decided to keep it as such. The bunnies on Goten's pajamas were digitally added later, by the way.

DB IGNO: Chapter 5 Title Page
My four main characters - Goten, Trunks, and the two original characters Kanba and Kori. This was around the time the side of my scanner glass got really blurry and this image definately shows that, even if I tried (and failed) to digitally correct that.

DB IGNO: Chapter 6 Title
My least favorite of all because...it's lame. I really copped out on this one because...I don't know...

DB IGNO: Chapter 7 Title
The token only female character, Kori. She gets some blackmail on Goten and Trunks (particularly Trunks) in this chapter, so I've depicted her as holding them both in the palm of her hands, with Goten as an angel and Trunks as a devil. I'm also almost certain that despite the fact that I was observing myself when drawing this, her arm is is anatomically incorrect, because it looks really wrong to me. Also I suck at drawing girls -_-

DB IGNO: Chapter 8 Title
Obligatory color page. This is Kanba in front of 'The Mysterious Boy', as they are (intentionally obviously en-fic) one in the same. I hate how messed up the hands are, but I'm pleased with the coloring.

DB IGNO: Chapter 10 Title
Yeah, 10. This was originally going to be the title page for 9 but it seemed more fitting for 10 after I drew it...so while I had been drawing in order, I now have no title page for 9, and haven't had time to do any past this since school started. Bleh. Either way, this is one of those typical splitscreen-type title pages, pretty basic, except I ended up with an extra area since I'm retarded at paneling so I just...filled it with a little exclamation bubble XD

And just for the Hell of it,

SG2: Super SG2
The little tiger (also in my sig if you click 'SG2') is my caracature of myself, basically. One day I had the random idea of...Super SG2...because I randomly mentioned it in a chat with someone (I think I got bored with just rocket chainsaws) and then...decided to run with the idea of a Super SG2. Obviously it had to be a Super Saiyajin parody, and so I decided to add Goten in there freaked right the fuck out XD Cheesy drawing and coloring style intentional for comedic purposes.

That's more than enough from me for now, so I'll shut up ^^;

I really wish I had tried to get the hang of Photoshop when I was still in high school. Now, I'm still a newbie at it, on top of that, having to deal with two jobs at the moment (christmas season too, ugh) I find myself having either no time to practice, or I just use what little time I have left to gawk at the work of others. It's either that, or I sleep. Plus, the scanner I had doesn't work anymore, so I can't even showcase my pen, pencil drawings anymore *cries.

Holy hell, did I just have a bitch fit? LOL

For what it's worth, DBR-neo. Which is essentially an amalgamation of my various DB-related dreams over the past however long I've had them with a vague attempt at a coherent storyline that doesn't suck. Too many OCs, not nice to Vegeta, and scrip format. You have been arned.

Today marks one year since I met Lemmy right here on the Daizex Forum so I drew this:

His favorite character is Goten and mine is, quite obviously, Gohan. Ignore continuity, the tails, and that Gohan's eyes are the 'normal' style rather than the closed-line Super Saiyajin style (that's just how I typically draw him, long story).

Congratulations to Lemmy for surviving a whole year without me killing him

At any rate . . . yeah, our meeting for the first time was a year ago as of the 26th of this month (for anyone who cares)! The funny thing is? Up until she showed, I was a fairly regular poster around here, and then I kinda . . . well, ran off with her and disappeared when DBR 2006 drew to a close. And aside from some sporadic posting, I've been gone for practically the whole year all the way up until DBR 2007! WTF?! Will I now vanish again until DBR 2008?

Ah, well. "No matter what happens," as they say. I've loved DaizEX for a long time and will continue to love it. But now, instead of it being about DragonBall, DaizEX is always gonna be "the place where I met SG2".

Yes, ignore it all. None of it makes any sense, and that's as good a description of us as any. Well . . . that, and there's the fact that SG2 just hates Adult Gohan too much to place him into something like this.

Part of what the pic is saying has a ring of truth to it, when you look at it. Our favorite DBZ characters just happen to be brothers. That's kinda like the relationship we have with each other, except that we're like siblings of opposite genders . . . but just . . .
not . . . really siblings at all. And stuff. OH, THE CONFUSION!! It's weird, yet appropriate.

I actually had something similar to give t'you, but you know how shit has been lately. If you'll remind me tomorrow, I'll get it!
