In addition, there is another source of the whole plot.

So they draw straws (well... radishes, actually) to decide who's going to fight them: Goten or Trunks. Trunks wins (Vegeta = happy), but Gokû lets Goten go at them as well anyway (Vegeta = angry).
Of course, the fight does escalates a tiny bit, and Gokû gets to do something in the end, but... well, you get the general idea.
I'm kind of disappointed it's another "Goten & Trunks Hour" type story. I can only take those two in small doses and get quite sick of them honestly. Ah well, at least Goku is there doing something.

Er... Don't get your hopes up about that last point. He barely does anything, apparently.

I don't want Trunks and Goten to eat up all the time; they've done that already (See movies 10 and 11, and maybe 13).

That information is totally bringing me down. ^^;;
Does Vegeta at least get a major role?

Nice find, thanks.
So apparently, Vegeta knew about his little brother all along.
OK, then...

I don't believe he gets to fight. He gets into arguments with Gokû (including one where they turn into Super Saiyan... over food), and that's pretty much it.

I agree with Chuquita, that's even more depressing. :(

I just went over the summaries again, and it does look like he might be fighting alongside Gokû at one point, but if he is, that would be a "blink and you'll miss it" thing.

EDIT: OK, forget about that, one of the summaries specifically states that he never fights.

Sorry to say, he doesn't fight at all. He tries to fight once but Goku cheats him like Kyui(aka Cui).

Has there even been a trailer released for it yet?

Hm. I really like the sound of there being Trunks/Goten stuff. But Table being Vegeta's brother, I'm not to thrilled about that.

Aw, that stinks. :(

I wanted to see some Vegeta-action.

The animated special's poster cheated me; it made me think it was all about Goku and Vegeta. :(

Ah well, as long as they both have decently-sized roles, I'll be happy.

In more ways than one: Tenshinhan and Lunchi don't appear.
(I'm guessing Chaoz doesn't either)

You can see Vegeta's blind parental love for Trunks, his passion for fighting and know his hidden favourite food..!
I guess that he has role that's enough to please his fans :)

Oh good! A comedic special. That should be fun!

I hope we get to see some Gotenks. Gotenks was always *far* more fun than Trunks and Goten as separate entities.

...in fact, they're kind of annoying on their own or together as a pair rather than...a single, fused being.

If that makes sense.

They should do yearly specials IMO.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

I think it's great. More Dragon Ball-esque comedy than DBZ fighting. I had quite enough of those via the fighting games. It's disappointing to hear about Goku and Vegeta having minor roles though.

Could you please explain how that is even possible? There are more problems with that marriage than I care to get into.

In addition, does this take place in main continuity or is it an outside entity?
The Saiyans are very much like the Klingons and Jem'Hadar.

I was kinda hoping for some pre-GT Pan, or maybe even Uub... but I was just kidding myself. Either way, I'll reserve judgement until I see it. I imagine it'll be lighthearted like original Dragon Ball. Hey, it works for One Piece!
