I don't think anyone would've guessed that happening.

I'll take Videl ending up topless instead of Bra if necessary.

Nope, didn't see this coming.
It's nice they decided to include it. In the original story Kaioken is never mentioned again after Goku goes Super Saiyan.

Didn't see this coming either.

Interesting to note is that this means somebody in U9 must have died and met Kaio at some point. Could've been Videl herself, or someone like Tenshinhan who later got revived and taught Videl the technique.
Usually goes by "Kevtrev" elsewhere online.
Draws comics that may or may not have been blatantly inspired by Akira Toriyama's manga.

Actually, I'm wondering what degree this Kaioken is? Is it the basic 2x or is it larger?

It's probably the basic one. I'm expecting something of an arms race in this fight. Cold transforms, Videl Kaiokens. Cold transforms again, Videl Kaiokens times whatever, etc.

Out of everybody, Cold is the one I care the least. Sounds hypocritical I know, but I can see Videl winning. The thing is, the same thing is going to go down. Cold thinks here power comes from the sword etc. boom he's dead.

Now tell me, can you see that happening?

And this goes back to Freeza, he could be stronger, like the Androids in the regular DBZ time line. Just could be stronger for no reason.

Actually, no. I see Cold winning this. And, actually, I see it happening for practical reasons. U8 had Freeza advance without a fight. Cooler got beaten. And it seems like the Ginyu Force is getting stomped, too. Meanwhile, U9 has both Krillin and Tenshinhan advancing. I'm going to guess, to keep things somewhat balanced next round, we'll see Cold win.

Plus, we've seen a few villains pull out new tricks. U4 Super Buu is not the same as the one Gohan fought and Broly was all kinds of upgraded.

About the Ginyu Force, that reminds me, I don't think Ginyu or Guldo has fought yet. I assume that Ginyu or Guldo might be fighting next round, or the round after. I wonder if they'd win their fights.

I love the Freeza arc characters, and to see Buu or... Broly  wind or have a tough fight is not surprising in the least. I just hope Ginyu and even Guldo win their matches. I am not fond of seeing a tournament end with Goku vs Goku... though I do think that is planned. I am also Glad Tenshinhan is advancing, I think he gets the shaft a lot too.

If Videl wins, I will have lost all hope for the rest. Not to sound negative or anything

That's a little disappointing as we have saw Burter and Jeice.

They aren't? I would've thought at least Ginyu would be there considering Recoome, Burter, and Jeice are there.

I think Salagir confirmed that Guldo isn't there. As for Ginyu, I haven't seen him so far.

And there are only 10 fighters left.

Is it safe to say that Kaio-Ken X's 2 Videl > SSJ Gohan (Non-enraged)? She's wielding it with one hand, while we see Gohan swinging it around not so casually with both hands before breaking it.

Didn't Salagir state before that he thought an Earthling's limit was SSjin level? I guess he wasn't referring to SSjin Goku on Namek like I thought.

XXI will appear in the next few pages I'm guessing. It was stated in that hidden page with universe information that he was the one who sealed Rou Kaioshin in the Z-Sword. Not to mention the chapter's title alludes to him appearing. Now seems like the most likely time for him to show his face, probably will go hand-in-hand with the explanation for why Kaioshins couldn't pull the Z-Sword out.

It's likely some plot might start soon. Remember XXI (IF he truly was the guy who put Rou Kaioshin in the Z-Sword) was stated in the Dragon Ball manga to have feared Rou Kaioshin. He might step in and do something just to make sure Rou Kaioshin isn't let loose.

I'm hoping King Cold wins this. I like this version of Videl but King Cold is IMO one of the most awesome and underused characters in the series. Seeing him pop up here with a whole new, badarse transformation makes me really hope he isn't wasted and tossed aside like trash as he was in the main series.
