Beerus is awake after 6 months just like in the manga.
To the guy complaining about Goku taking credit from Gohan.. Goku's inner thoughts were not shown in the anime, so no Freeza, Cell or Buu.

The aliens Beerus killed were also different in the manga
Are we too old to enjoy new Dragon Ball movies/series?

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.

For some reason I highly doubt Vegeta will even enjoy his family vacation. He will probably be day dreaming all day about fighting Goku while his Wife will be getting hit on by other guys. I mean Vegeta barely cares about his family, he probably only laid once or twice with his wife. Vegeta spends more time in the gravity training than he spends time with his kid or wife. Even in BoG during Bulma's party. He just has that love for Goku that his pride just doesn't want to admit, but I do hope he comes out one day cause I'm sure they'll accept him.
Well, guys. I just used Instant Transmission to go to Japan and watch the first ep. Now I'm back and I gotta say...
...that was awesome. I'm in love with this series already. If this is the average level of quality we can expect from the series, then I'm going to be extremely happy. Even if we do end up getting retellings of the two films, I feel like it's still going have enough fluff and extra goodness to make it worthwhile. There were some good character interactions in the episode, the animation was much better than I thought it would be (then again, my expectations were low), and I'm also love the OP/ED and just the soundtrack in general.
Very stoked for next week and beyond! I rate the first episode 7/7!

That was awesome! so in the manga Beerus destroyed the whole planet with a blast while in the anime he destroyed half of the planet with a finger tap lol.
Loving it by far! I feel like a kid again now onto the next ep Vegeta fam vacation.
The Ed was equally good as the OP and Goten is adorable throughout the ep!
The animation wasnt half bad too.
