I checked out, and if you type "Morsure du soleil" on google, you will find sites talking about it, it apparently means what sun does to you in a bad way. Whether it's sunburn or dehydratation or something else, I can't find exactly, but it does exist. There are even books titles "Sous la morsure du soleil" ("Under the sun's bite"), or sites talking about the fact the children are less resistant to the "Sun Bite", so it does exist actually, but is it really "sunburn" or something else that you guys probably don't call "sun bite", I can't tell. Anyway, the point is, it was indeed not made up just for DBZ.

There are even books titles "Sous la morsure du soleil" ("Under the sun's bite")

And there's a book called "The Call of the Wild". See above.

the point is, it was indeed not made up just for DBZ.

It's just that the French translators weren't the first ones to associate the words "sun" and "bite"...

Sorry to breaking normal discussion, but can I ask about the paper quality?
I have the Gollancz manga (probably the UK one version) and the quality of paper reminds me of old days, when the comic books were released in czech on paper, of that quality, which wasn't too far from toilet paper. And when I'm reading the manga on toilet, sometimes I'm thinking about the difference about clean my ass with toilet paper or dragon ball manga. If it wasn't Dragon Ball I will try that

So how much good paper do you get in other countries? I hope and think that Kanzenban editions are on really good one

The Viz tankoubon are printed on paper that I would say is best akin to run of the mill paper that you would put in your home printer. Their Viz Bigs are printed on a higher grade paper, something more like what a well known novel might be printed on.

It's more than a metaphor, but you're right in saying it's not a common term. In other words, saying morsure de soleil instead of coup de soleil puts the "dic" back into "diction." That joke doesn't work as well when you have to read it instead of hear it.

That's why I guessed you were Quebecois; nobody here even knows what it means. Seriously, it's like someone using "verisimilitude" ten times in a casual conversation.

I own the japanese, french, dansih, german, netherlands releases + a few more, I'll be able to make comparission scans when I get home.

Some of them a cropped too:p
Actually the japanese versions are more cropped then some other versions...

Yeah, But a scan is the best I can provide.. I'm not able to cut pieces of the paper out and send it to the all the forum members, and it wouldn't be fair if only 3/4 of the members got it, would it?
Porto is expensive these days, 'ya 'no!

Of english editions, I have the uk gollancz, uk viz, us viz, viz big, viz collector edition.. plus a have them in multiple copy's.
