I'm pretty sure half of the viewers for Kai are the fans. I don't think kids talking about Dragon Ball on a nick toons forum proves the series is popular with the younger public. When is the last time you seen Dragon Ball merchandise at a store like Walt-Mart, Toy R Us, Traget, or any big brand name stores? I like the fact that kids are watching the show, but Dragon Ball is never going to be as popular as it used to be.

One thing that really makes me smile is all the kids saying “I am the biggest Dragon Ball fan, I have seen every episode, you can ask me anything” because it reminds me of when I was a kid. Mind you we were arguing about Yu-Gi-Oh cards and who had the most but still brings back nice memories.

My little cousin and his friends love Kai. I definitely think it's popular with a lot of younger children. Just because it isn't popular as it once was doesn't mean it isn't still popular, take Pokemon for example. I don't know what "merchandise" you're really alluding to. There's plenty of Dragonball books, video games and DVDs out there.

Okay that's all fine and dandy, but could I ask you to at least be consistent, you seem to switch you're theories a lot;

Kids are just not into Dragon Ball. I have not seen anyone talk about Dragon Ball in my town since GT ended in 2005. Kids are into Ben 10, and Bakugan now. Sorry but Dragon Ball has been dead in the US since 2004 or 2005, they still make games due to the fans keep on buying them.

All of these things are really big assumptions. Especially the bold one.

I agree there isn't a lot of merchandise, but there's a decent amount out there and it seems to be doing good. I don't know when video games stopped being merchandise. I agree with Turtle Marked Stone.

I disagree. The CW4Kids block is really popular, and I think the most popular Saturday Morning kids block. I know this is about Nicktoons but the CW is airing so, it has a reason to be mentioned. And my little 4th Grade sister tells me how all the boys in her class are talking about the show. Oh and the last time I was at a Toys R' Us, there was DBZ merchandise. Dragon Ball is making a comeback in the States. So is Beyblade (ah, good times).

Sometimes when I drive down the street, I'll see Kai on at the neighbors house through they're window. (Not that I'm creeping, haha. They have a huge living room window, and I can see it when I drive by.

I can't believe kids are asking these stupid questions. Do they even know how to use Google? I was able to learn a lot more about Dragon Ball thanks to Google when I was 11 or 12 (I have been using the Internet since 1997 or 1998).

There's your answer, bud. When I was that age, all I knew how to do on the internet was play Toonami's awesome Thundercats flash game.....for hours and hours on end....in my swaggin' fresh AOL 6.0 browser.

Besides, it's more fun to ask fellow fans these questions. Because then, instead of just getting an answer, you could probably get a nice little discussion about it, too. It's the same thing as here. I don't just google "Funimation Dragon Box 5" release date to find out...I come here and read/post/have discussion in the thread that announces it was, unfortunately, delayed.
