You see, lots of people like DBZ because of the things like blood and people getting beaten the sh*t of of, as goes for saying 'up yours' and Roshi's doings to add. That's why lot's of fans prefer the later episodes.

Now, when people see how the early episodes were really like it will revive the show, people are going to say 'hold on, these episodes are just as good(if not better) as the later episodes'.

I definately prefer some of the early episodes in a way, mainly in Japanese of course, the plot is just good.
Of course. The early stuff is before Toriyama started pulling things out of his bum. Even the filler was still good, then.

Honestly, this was back when Yamcha dying made me cry.
I wouldn't cry from watching DBZ, not from waching anything on TV. Never did, never will.

Majin Buu, the only chance there'll be of seeing any original BGM is if Ocean decide to do what Funimation is doing and re-dub them with the original BGM like they did for GT, the only possible way of this happening is if they decide to show the uncut episodes in the UK on Toonami, maybe they won't show the Ultimate Uncut version of Funimation.

Ocean don't care much about the Royalties like Funi does.

Last night's episode, man. I forgot how brutal the fight with Nappa was. (Need to pick up DBZ vols. 2 & 3).

Wow, tonight's episode was a little more vulgar than usual, language-wise. At the end of the episode, Karin said "Give 'em hell, Goku!" Also worth noting, Nappa said, "They're just pansies in their little toys," when he went to blow up the Navy. I kind of hope FUNi uses more vulgar language in the future. 8)

Let's see, so far we've had: Blood baths of all characters, Gohan's pecker, Goku's adult rear, a woman blowing her brains out with a gun (with no cover-up lines to keep her alive), and now we've actually gotten some near vulgar langauge and even a curse by Korin. At this rate we may just have those Namek Saga birdies of Vegeta and Recoome.

cough*YYH on Adult Swim*cough. cough*Case Closed*cough.

Anyways, Vegeta sounded really evil at the beginning of this episode. In fact that little bit was the most evil he sounded in awhile. Even more evil than when Mr. Drummond did his voice in my view. Kudos to Mr. Sabat for having him sound like that.

It may not be in the line up of Adult Swim, but it airs just before it, so it's as good as attached too it; so I figure it's high time they're capable of using some more suggestive, and possibly raunchy dialogue.

And also, about this:
THEY SAID BAD WORDS? IN A FUNIMATION DUB?!?!?!? ON TV!?!?!?!?!?? >checks heart beat< HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!
I think you need a couple o' valium, and calm down a bit. Such large text is capable of waking a the dead.

... Or maybe Inferi, depending your preference. :)

I remember a few years ago when I watched the uncut Funi dub of the Trunks TV special, Android 18 said something like "This bites". I was amazed that they said that!

Funimation used words like this in their uncut dubs of the first three movies (the pioneer releases) and those have been around for years.

Well, on my Trunks Special DVD, 18 actually said "This sucks". Not sure here, but it might've been the edited version that you watched. Or, you probably just heard it wrong.

Bad words don't seem to bother me that much, as in, they're not a big deal. And many of the things arn't big deals in Dragonball Z, Funi just maje them out to be, so yes, they definately will show the middle fingers. They probably signed a contract to allow Funimation to show the episode unedited as they were in their original formats, that means 'no editing'.

Basically, this is Funi's last dubbing they'll do(aside from video games and possibly the Playdia movie) so they're going to do it to the best of their abilities, leaving everything in and making these old episodes(which Saban bodged up), furthermore, retaining these episode's original, entertaining quality.

Even though the BGM is changed, most everyday TV viewers who just flick through the channels and know nothing of DBZ's history, or even that it is a dubbed cartoon from Japanese at all, know not of any BGM changes, so, well, what you don't know can't hurt you I suppose.

I was just trying to point out that Funimation has used language like this before, as well as in other series.
