End of Planet Vegeta....

Movie 9 could fit, if it wasn't for some debatable things:

1. Chi Chi should be pregnant with Goten (I'm not saying she wasn't) and should show signs of it.

2. Trunk's hair.

3. The fact that the time machine takes a long time to recharge.

4. Gohan's power (I think it's stated that Bojack is as strong as Cell (or more) and, as we all know, Gohan doesn't train after the battle with Cell. So, if the movie would take after 1 or 2 years after Cell, Gohan's power would be weaker.

Movie 13 should include Buu. He would have been defeated pretty quickly, but he would show up, no matter what.

EDIT: Oh boy, we went waaaay off-topic. I had to check what was the subject of this thread.

The Bardock special states that only one baby was born in that day. Raditz is older than Goku (and obviously a low-class warrior) so he might have been sent to a planet with weaker ppl before Freeza destroyed planet Vegeta. Also, in a personal translation of what Raditz says in the Japanese version of episode 2, it is implied that he and Nappa were together in the same planet when Vegeta exploded (the planet

), but I could have misinterpreted (sp?).

The thing with Tullece and the resemblance with Goku is also explained in the movie's tankoubon in the little section explaining who the characters of the movie are and what are their relation.

By the way, the Garlic Jr. situation isn't the only area for plot holes, look at Cell's explanation on his body regeneration. He was able to reform because of the core inside his head, however Goku blasted that core into little bits with his Warp Kamehame-Ha. I know that's off topic, but just goes to show ya even the manga has it's share of plot holes.

Concerning Movies 9 and 13 not being in the continuity of the Daizenshuu, that is a mistake on the publishers' part. Movies 9 and 13 without question fit, especially 9 over-all.
*sigh*

Resons GT doesn't fit the time-line (Manga OR Anime):

1) Multiple Movie villains (beyond Cooler) appear.
2) Bra's age is screwed up. (She's a year older in GT and a year younger in cannon.)
3) Other inconsistancies.

The presence of movies 1 and 5 (oddly exaclty 4 movies appart just like 9 and 13) is the goof in my opinion. Either that or Toei was just trying to cover it's ass. And ya, of course the series has it's own little inconsistances. Toriyama-sama was overworked to say the least, plus his memory's as bad as mine. And if you're going to count the movies that have obvious consistancy problems like 1 and 5 then you have to count them all.

I don't see how movie villians being in GT messes it up, because obviously Toei thinks the movies happened...

This thread SERIOUSLY needs to be locked. I came here to discuss the destruction of planet Vegeta and had to sift through four and a half pages of arguing with a guy who refuses the laws of storywriting AND quantum physics just for the sake of being able to. After all that, I was disappointed to find out that the real topic was abandoned over a week ago.

1) We know that Goten was concieved sometime in March or earlier (he was born the same year as the Cell Games after all).

2) You answerd this with statement 3.

3) Yep. Explains why it's probably a year or so after the Cell Games, giving Bojack and crew time to actuall reach other.

4) Gohan was BADLY injured from fighting Cell. It's not inconcievable that his power increased from said injuries and then returned to Cell Games levels by the time Bojack arrived.

And ya... this did get waaaay off topic. >_>

3) Even so, Trunks took 3 years to return to the past in the Jinzouningen battle.
