ugh that's not brand new, oh well...What about Dragon box 4?

Canadian Amazon has you covered. :P

Edit: Purchased Dragon Box 2, well, if they still have a copy in stock. Fingers crossed.

I spy a bad review
HOWEVER, I am completely and utterly appalled at the state my item came to me in. The corners were completely beat up, I thought the first disc wasn't going to work. Another box I had bought from Amazon (In the same horrible cardboard packing)came to me OPENED and beat up.

It's all a risk worthwhile to take. The prices listed on Amazon Canada seem the best. Wish I was able to get these back in 2010.

The FUNimation Dragon Boxes weren't made of the highest nor best packaging quality, the disc plastic holder is what bootleggers use and for the outer box it's just paper glued to the box.

For a limited edition product they should've took better care of the packaging.

My Dragon Box 6 or 7 has the disc holder plastic cracked at the right top but that doesn't really matter, I'd be more worried if any of the discs were blank (some people reported some of their Dragon Box discs to have no content on Amazon).

Back in 2010 I bought my Dragon Box 2 and it only cost me £27 now it's the double, thankfully it's not too pricey. If I then have to pay customs then I will, but hope it comes to the address and be done with it.

Heh, feels like 2010-2011 again, buying Dragon Boxes. Already bought DB BOX 2 & 3, that's it for me. :)

The original Japanese airing apparently didn't have the pink to it.

Exactly, back then I was a lunch money saving kid how I managed to get the orange bricks. No way I could do that again to get these first time round. I bought all the Dragon Boxes today after reading up on here about the availability becoming ridiculous. I really always hoped they would re-release these boxes.
EDIT: Do you think Amazon Canada can get hold of Dragon box 2. It seems a lot of people have got them from Canada places like hmv at RRP.

We don't know for sure if everyone's going to get their Dragon Box 2 because I assume there's already A LOT of people who've ordered it seeing how freaking cheap it is right now.

Sweet deals these are.

Dragon Box 2 - £41.00 ($63)
Dragon Box 3 - £22.99 ($35)

Can't believe I already spent £64 ($99) but I'll get that money back. :P

These new two Dragon Boxes will replace the ones I have.

How did I ruin the Dragon Box? The screen shots I posted come from your thread...

So does anyone know how import taxes apply on Amazon Canada? I wanna try to see if I can snag one of those Dragon Box Twos while they're still cheap. To be honest I don't even know how import taxes work; I've never imported anything in my life. But that price for Box Two is too good... Anyways, thanks for the help!

Can someone explain to me what NTSC is? Is it just the same as Region 1? Wonder why they are going so cheap. Gonna order 2 and 4. :D

Well, you could always try to actually order it thru Amazon.ca and they will give you the grand total value of the order, which I believe includes ALL taxes you might pay. Then, after you are able to see that, you could change the item quantity to 0 and click on the ''Update'' button, thus cancelling the order the order to buy it only when you really want. But at least now you will know how much you would pay in any case for this order.

If by ''taxes'' you meant customs, however, then I think it's impossible to know thru Amazon. You will only know it when you are actually charged.

I hope this helps. :)

Seems to be the cheapest place to buy them from, for now.

Correct. NTSC is R1 (America).

I wish they were R2 compatible so that I would've seen them on my Xbox 360 or PS3 with the great upscale feature they have, sadly I watched it on a DVD Player via scart which didn't look very good on an HDTV.

I've imported from US to Europe (UK/PT) in the past (2010/2011/2012) and I never paid for custom fees, but it's never really known until it gets here. Hopefully I won't have to pay any extra fees that I've already paid on Amazon.ca.

Anyway, I hope that I get one of those Dragon Box 2 they have in stock.

Ok thanks. Yeah I agree I like to just lie in bed, watching on the PS3, most enjoyable way to watch for me, that is one of the few plus points of the orange bricks. Oh well, I will just have to move one of the DVD players upstairs. My players have HDMI, but I'm not sure it would do as good a job as the PS3...

That's not exactly correct. While Region 1 uses the NTSC standard, they're not synonymous. DVD regions are simply a means of preventing people from importing. NTSC is a television standard, governing things like frames per second, scan lines, etc, and has been used in various parts of the world.

Just purchased 2 and 4, although knowing my luck, they either will have run out of stock or it will arrive with a disc missing. If I get lucky though, this is a very good deal considering the prices on eBay. :D

They haven't yet charged me for Dragon Box 2 so I'll have to await and be sure that my order gets through.
