Am I the only one around here who wants a movie that doesn't focus on the Saiyans but about some of the human characters? No?

I feel like a new Dragon Ball movie would have so much potential; especially since they can use the adventure aspect to sustain the run-time effectively.
Except I'm not a huge fan of the human characters, outside of Kuririn.

I'd settle for an OVA. Beach Volleyball Showdown?! Tenshinhan Vs Yamcha!Attitudefan wrote:Am I the only one around here who wants a movie that doesn't focus on the Saiyans but about some of the human characters? No?

I would love to see something on Ten or Yamcha and their backstory or have a whole film on Roshi when he was young fighting Piccolo Daimao! That would make some good film action.

Where is the "Dragon Ball" era could a new movie fit? Between the RRA and 22nd TB arcs? Between the Piccolo Daimao and 23rd TB arcs, if it doesn't involve Goku? Between the end of DB and Gohan's birth?

Does that really even matter? I mean, just make a movie with some of the characters from around that time frame. Like, who cares if it has to fit in or not? Honestly...Fizzer wrote:Where is the "Dragon Ball" era could a new movie fit? Between the RRA and 22nd TB arcs? Between the Piccolo Daimao and 23rd TB arcs, if it doesn't involve Goku? I did give an example of having the story pre-Dragonball when Roshi was young.
But a movie does not have to fit in a timeline at all. It's not necessary.

The early part of the series had pretty frequent timeskips. There are plenty of options available.Fizzer wrote:Where is the "Dragon Ball" era could a new movie fit? Between the RRA and 22nd TB arcs? I don't know how I feel. If he has SSJ3, it should be a form that he can somewhat easily use in his debut. And no Vegeta > Goku either, but this is something that is exciting with someone new as the main character of a movie. Also, I'd like an OVA on Roshi, Shen and Mutaito when they fought King Piccolo.
Tim Duncan is dope and forever.

Vegeta getting SSJ3? Honestly I'm not surprise nor shocked. Many fans love Vegeta just as much as Goku and I'm sure if Goku is in the movie that he would be the 2nd most important character. But most likely a cameo. Anyone knows what time period this is though?

Nothing's been confirmed so far. And for the record, Vegeta received Super Saiyan 3 back in '09.
As far as I can tell, Toriyama's just tossing around ideas; but I have no doubt that some where, someone on the internet has misinterpreted this as an official announcement for a new film.

Re: Next DBZ Movie Featuring Vegeta?
I see nothing wrong with a movie with Vegeta being the main character. Vegeta never defeated a major main villain on his own and him destroying Metal Coola's chip at the end of Movie 6 hardly counts.

Re: Next DBZ Movie Featuring Vegeta?
if there is a new movie (which i believe it will be) i want a serious one like the others.
Battle of Gods light atmosphere was perfect for the series return. Goku losing for the first time was a treat too. But in the next one i want more action.

I misinterpreted the part of your post where you said, "Vegeta getting SSJ3? Honestly I'm not surprise nor shocked. " as you actually thinking that this was happening .

.....Goku did not lose for the first time? He lost plenty of times in Dragonball. Hell he lost twice to Vegeta. He gave up against Cell. That's just naming 2 examples from Z. DragonBALL had much more times of him losingFortuneSSJ wrote: Goku losing for the first time was a treat too.

Vegeta goes SSJ3 or SSJG, saves the day then Goku flies in and beats the living shit out of him telling him to remember his place.

I disagree. I think Vegeta was given an awesome moment(As he normally gets)hleV wrote:BOG screwed Vegeta over so much that I can't see a movie with him in the spotlight being any good. But if they bring back the good ol' badass Vegeta, go for it.
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

Re: Next DBZ Movie Featuring Vegeta?
It's most likely SS2 Vegeta surpassing SS3 Goku, given to the fact that this is supposed to be Vegeta's full power beyond his normal full power, and that not even SS2 or SS3 Goku had sparks.penguintruth wrote:No. F*** no. If this is more of "Vegeta bypassing Goku" (that was bullshit in BoG, SSJ Vegeta can not be more powerful than Goku if he can't even go SSJ3), Toei staff need to take their cyanide pills (all animation studios have them) and end this nonsense.
And if base Goku can surpass base Vegeta with a technique, then I don't see why Vegeta shouldn't be able to do the same with a different technique.

Re: Next DBZ Movie Featuring Vegeta?
I don't think the whole subject about a possible movie with Vegeta possibly involved was randomly brought up, like Goku's mother & Kaio's planet origin before were both "randomly" brought up.
