Not to be disrespectful towards MV's custom BD covers but they seem a little too empty and that just doesn't feel right for covers whether it's for a CD, BD, DVD, HD-DVD, LD or etc.
Here's a great example of a fully detailed Blu-ray cover:
But still, rs_chaosmaster, do these Blu-ray covers have any purpose other than for the competition? Because there isn't a Dragon Box on BD at all.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

I've based my design off the Japanese dragon box rather than just a standard bluray.

Does it need to have purpose other than for the contest? Of course I would love for a Blu Ray Release of the Dragon Box to happen DB/Z or the Movies but how likely is it? I am planning on tweeting the winning entry to Funimation just for shits and giggles but other than that no real purpose. This is my first of the planned 4 Contests. Z will start submissions in middle of April when Round 2 starts for this contest.

@DragonBoxKaiFan Although your criticism is very logical i disagree the only thing i would recommend the design has is a specification on run time and aspect ratio however on the dragonboxes for Z if u remember they were on the bottom which you can't see in any of Miss Vegeta's Design so who is to say it isn't on their??? Oh and Miss Vegeta I like the Cover Design a lot but instead of just having the one star why not switch it to the others for the number of release or if you are just going to have one I recommend the four star due to its significance in dragonball!!

The dragonball i had on the spine of the blurays was just a place holder but now I've updated them to the four star ball, originally i was going to but a different ball on each bluray till seven but then i changed my mind

I think it is a good idea to use the four star and will look great on your final entry.

I just want to formally announce part 2 of my contest. It starts April 1st How would you Design Dragon Box Z on Blu Ray? Submission period is April 1-30th. May 1st Round 2 will begin. Top 5 once again. Feel Free to submit submissions earlier however. I haven't quite decided on the prize yet as i fully expect funimation to make an announcement regarding Kai soon. However at this point it will be Dragon Ball Z Season 4 Blu Ray, Issue 3 of the Full Color Comic, Or Dragon Box Z Funimation lol. Wont be 2,4, or 7 volume will be determined once contest officially begins so start that creativity once again

!! Rules will be the same as the first contest but it has to be specifically z related.

Someone should use art from the R2 singles as part of their submission.

This is just some awesome awesome stuff you've created here. I can only hope that if/when a Dragon Box quality release hits Blu-ray it will look half as good as this! Nicely done.

And they're all gonna be around here long after we're dead. So, in a way, those things are more realer than any of us.

Yeah I'm a proponent of the "less is more" kind of thinking. That BD cover just looks like the designer puked all over the front and back of the case. But to each their own! Simplicity for me is key.

I like how Miss Vegeta was even thinking when she designed her dragon book making it the same color scheme as the rest of her set even with just 4 entrys so far it will be a competition for sure hoping others participate

That looks cool but that cover with Goku defeating Piccolo is very spoilerish. Not to us fans, of course, but a cover should never be spoilerish by principle.
