I hate to use the "Tenshinhan is an alien" cop-out, but him and his buddy aren't exactly regular humans (or animal hybrids).
There are actually people born without noses.

He can see through after images, and instantly copy techniques by seeing them once. That gift of extra sight is a power, and as far as I can tell, he's the only one on his planet with it.Doctor. wrote:

Chapter: 123, P7.5-6Marco Polo wrote:That has nothing to do with his third eyefadeddreams5 wrote:He can see through after images, and instantly copy techniques by seeing them once.
Context: said after Tenshinhan sees through Kame-sennin’s afterimages
Tenshinhan: “That trick won’t work against my three eyes…” [<-- clear emphasis on three eyes]
Chapter: 124, P13.1-2
Context: after Tenshinhan fires a Kamehameha
Goku: “Amazin’..!”
Kuririn: “Wh-what a guy…Th-that one just now was really huge…”
Tenshinhan: “Fufufu…With that level of technique, if I see it just once I can immediately make it my own. Show me even more techniques! I’ll become stronger and stronger!”
That latter is debatable, but he's clearly using sight to copy the moves, something no other character could at the time with that level of mastery.
But anyways, this topic is getting derailed. I'm not even saying Tien is stronger. But if you all only read the manga, can you honestly finish it and say with absolute certainty that Krillin is stronger based on one small, tiny monologue, placed in an era where Krillin didn't even train for 7 or so years? You really don't see any place for debate solely because of one bit of dialogue that's not even directed towards Tien? It's not debatable... at all? Come on...

Well, I don't buy that doing generic training will constantly give you more and more strength forevers. Tien can putter about in the mountains giving Chaozu indian burns all he wants, it won't overcome Krillin's potential getting unlocked.
Re: What are your top 3 dream fights?
Literally EVERYTHING with an opinion to give on the non-issue says that Kuririn is the strongest Earthling. An actual line in the manga, the author himself, and all the guidebooks and promos too. All those guidebooks also consistently list Tenshinhan as an Earthling. Therefore, Kuririn is stronger than Tenshinhan. Yes, the small guy is stronger than the big guy in Dragon Ball. Very surprising.
The mystery was solved ages ago, in late 1993 when Toriyama used a line from Yamcha in the manga to plainly give us the answer. There is no debate to be had on the matter — There is only acceptance on one side and denial on the other. Period.
Now allow the topic to move on, please.

I'm just saying, excluding all external supplements of the manga, if you read the manga itself, there is a case for debate there, which is why it even became a thing. If you include all that stuff, there is no debate. If Toriyama or some official guide claimed Tien was the strongest, nobody would mention Yamcha's monologue though. There'd be literally no case for argument on Krillin's behalf, unlike there is for Tien (i.e. denial from people). That's my pet peeve on that matter.
But anyways, yeah. No more on this.
Another cool fight I want to see is SSGSS Goku & SSGSS Vegeta vs. 100% Beerus. This battle was referenced in F. I think it'd be interesting to see them tap out Beerus' full power and actually work as a team like Goku and Piccolo did against Raditz and Garlic Jr. If all else fails, the grand return of fusion! There's a lot of potential here. The question is, "why would they fight Beerus like this?" o.o

So...no counter to Goku stating he was much weaker than Super Buu, the same Super Buu Gohan smacked around like nothing?Dbzejo wrote: I see. I'm sorry, but Gohan would get rekt. He would win in a math quiz though.

Dunno about Super (only six months, after all), but by EoZ--even if BoG and RF didn't happen and going only by the manga--there's no way Goku didn't surpass Gohan in that time. So yeah, I agree Goku'd win in EoZ.Dbzejo wrote:Ok, i admit it!!! The only reason Gohan was stronger than Goku is because he was supposed to be the protagonist but Toriyama changed his mind, thank God. If Goku became Mystic he would be stronger than Gohan... The whole Mystic thing is stupid and unfair.
Re: What are your top 3 dream fights?
Mystic Goku would be weaker than Mystic Gohan. Gohan has always had far, far greater potential than his dad, and Mystic brought all of that to the surface. Goku farting about for a decade won't come anywhere near to catching up.

Yes, totally stupid and unfair. Goku getting God powers on the other hand...Dbzejo wrote:The whole Mystic thing is stupid and unfair.
Totally fair and not stupid!

Also using the same logic as the Mystic Goku > Mystic Gohan argument, SSG Gohan would be stronger than SSG Goku especially if it's just after the Buu arc.

Probably, but could you make a counter-point rather than just countering an argument with a statement of opinion?Dbzejo wrote:Goku is stronger than Gohan at the end of the manga...Rocketman wrote:Mystic Goku would be weaker than Mystic Gohan. If you're trying to shut Gohan fanboys up, I think fight #3 would only manage to be counterproductive. The ultimate warrior's fan base would absolutely get a kick out of watching their favorite character one-shot his father with the utmost ease.Dbzejo wrote:1.
