It wouldn't be seen as the "Perfect Edition" by some.

Re: Spain: DBZ movies will be released on Blu-Ray
Small update
DVD Box 1 now has a product image:
https://www.amazon.es/Pack-Películas-Dr ... 01AU00P7W/
Its price is 25,48€ which is really good but again, it's on DVD so any chance to see it remastered in true definition (if it'll actually be) then it has to be the BDs.
Blu-ray Volumes 3 and 4 have now been reduced to 14,95€.
https://www.amazon.es/dp/B01BHBV112/ - Vol. 3
https://www.amazon.es/dp/B01BHBV176/ - Vol. 4
I don't know what's taking Selecta so long to release a single screenshot in 720/1080!
Maybe they're worried if people figure out it's exactly the same footage as Funimation's that it'll tank their whole project.
Edit: Volume numbers edit.

Here's another update:
Vol. 5 - €15.33 @ https://www.amazon.es/Incre%C3%ADble-Pe ... 01D3VTFYY/
Vol. 6 - €15.33 @ https://www.amazon.es/Derrota-Guerrero- ... 01D3VTG34/
Still nothing about a single screenshot in high definition. Just wonderful.

Must be FUNimation's bds then. They know it and don't wanna spoil their sales.

Re: Spain: DBZ movies will be released on Blu-Ray
There are only ten days left until the first two Blu-ray volumes are released so if Selecta fails to publish a high definition screenshot I'm cancelling my order.
Re: Spain: DBZ movies will be released on Blu-Ray
I've cancelled mine. I just don't think there is much of a chance of them being different transfers. Maybe some custom colour tweaking, but not new scans.Iberian_Saiyan wrote:There are only ten days left until the first two Blu-ray volumes are released so if Selecta fails to publish a high definition screenshot I'm cancelling my order.

I'll give them until the 25th and if still no answer then I'll cancel my order too. It's a shame that they couldn't even include slipcovers for the first run owners.LordCrumb wrote:I've cancelled mine. I just don't think there is much of a chance of them being different transfers. The orange cases are quite a nice look though.Iberian_Saiyan wrote:I'll give them until the 25th and if still no answer then I'll cancel my order too. just out of interest, how much does it cost to license DBZ? i've got $500,000. You guys reckon I can get the license to distribute a Bluray remaster of DBZ in the UK, with that money???

Urgh I was really hoping he was gonna pop the disc in the player. I'd really like to see some screens.
Reversible covers look nice though.

I think they're also gonna want some credibility as much as they want money. 500,000$ is a lot though.Enigmo wrote:just out of interest, how much does it cost to license DBZ? i've got $500,000. They sent me an Instagram link for this.. I still can't see the difference! Oh, not to mention the DVD screenshot is cropped out of the picture. Just phenomenal.

Has anyone here not given up on the Blurays? There may be some hope for them.
Re: Spain: DBZ movies will be released on Blu-Ray
FUNi's bluray movies are fine imo. never understood the spite towards them. but then again, i've never actually sat down and watched a whole movie from their blurays

The Funimation Z Movie Blu-rays could have been really good but they're a mixed-bag. Sometimes it looks really nice and then totally atrocious like this below.Enigmo wrote:FUNi's bluray movies are fine imo. never understood the spite towards them. but then again, i've never actually sat down and watched a whole movie from their blurays
