"Resurrection 'F'" Receiving New Trunks Material in Fuji TV Airing

An animator directing and acting as animation supervisor is the sort of thing that would usually be a big event if the animator in question was actually good. Instead we get Yamamuro Tadayoshi, a bad animator who nobody respects and who respects nobody. I hope Yamamuro has no hand on this special segment.

I wonder if the series director Hatano will be involved in this special. I seriously doubt Shiba would be working on it if Yamamuro is taking the rein for the special, given his history of making good animators look bad.

Hatano Morio has had no time to storyboard for his own series, so I doubt we'll see him storyboarding let alone directing for an otherwise unrelated segment of someone else's movie. If anything I can see Shida acting as the storyboard artist with someone else being the enshutsu.

That doesn't make much sense, they were announcing on the magazine that a Trunks special will be broadcasting. It seems we have to wait 1 month to figure it out.

Resurrection "F" airs on Fuji TV August 27th with new retelling of Future Trunks and Freeza's battle, from Trunks' perspective. The Trunks thing is described as an "added part", so it sounds like it'll be a new part of RF rather than a separate special. Apparently.

I'd definitely love some extra clarification, though. I imagine we'll get some once V-Jump starts arriving in people's homes over here.

Oh wow, it's not even anything having to do with the Gokû Black arc, this new Trunks F stuff? It's just retellings from Z?

I'm relieved. This means I won't be missing anything relevant to the current arc of Super.

I could see it being kept on its own. Toriyama was upset at Toei about Super semi-recently, wasn't he? He probably wouldn't want others to think he wrote what was one of Toei's writers' work.

I wonder what "from Trunks' perspective" entails..
Will we perhaps see him fret over why Goku isn't arriving and so getting panicked until eventually making the decision to step in and change history?
At this juncture I can't imagine what else could be elaborated upon, since we saw his entire fight against Freeza.

Additionally, I see that site you listed there (and several people on Twitter) inaccurately reporting this as having 40 new minutes. Just gonna quote something Ajay said:

It is taking place during a 2 hour and 10 minute time-slot, which would indicate the extra footage will make up around 12 minutes or so, with the adverts removed.

Just because this has a timeslot that's 40 minutes longer than the theatrical cut of the film doesn't mean 40 minutes is going to be movie footage, new or otherwise. These TV airings have commercials.

It seems to be Ressurection F with in addition a retelling of the episode where Trunks challenged Freeza and his men.

The official super website describe it as an addition to the movie.So its not really a new special, just some extra scenes added for the TV broadcast.The only confusing bit is that, will they add the extra scenes in the movie itself or will they be before or after the movie.

It's just some special that's going to be added on to the movie at the end?

It sounds like it could be about Trunks stopping Sorbet and the others from reviving Frieza perhaps.

At this point I'm expecting to see Future Trunks' arrive in the past and him hesitating attacking Freezer but seeing as Goku doesn't arrive and he can't sense his ki he steps up and fights King Cold, Freezer and his army and they will re-animate all of that from DBZ.

Hmm. As much as I love Resurrection F, I'm not really at the intrigued in what is essentially a POV of the movie from Future Trunks. I will be interesting to see how it will pan out, but I'm not expecting anything great.
