Well if it makes you any happier, in the initial script for the RoF movie, Vegeta was said to have done the ritual too. They changed it up fpr the anime to make him look better than Goku.Kaiosama wrote:I actually do have a problem with him having SSB and being able to skip SSG. Bad writing IMO.Saturnine wrote:Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if some people were actually angry that Vegeta has SSj Blue in the first place. He's supposed to be a grumpy oaf controlled by rage after all, how come he gained access to a transformation requiring focus and calmness? Hee hee

It doesn’t need to be told, this is how Dragon Ball fights have always worked. They warm up first before transforming/getting serious. Wouldn’t make much sense for Jiren to power down against Vegeta who’s assumingly going at full power. If he specifically states he’s going to power down to fight Vegeta though since Jiren does appear to be a cocky fuck (with a personality now!) then sure, that would make sense.TBMx wrote:The show doesn't tell us this at any point. If one is going to assume this, no one should have any complaints against Vegeta vs jiren, as they would simply assume the same - Jiren powered down for Vegeta for some reason.Asura wrote:Hit wasn't putting the same amount of power into his punches against Goku that he used against Vegeta. It wouldn't make sense for Hit to power down for Goku either when he could just eliminate his ass. Hit was a professional doing a job for a specific prize. If you want to use the logic that Hit wanted to see what Goku had, then that same logic can apply to Vegeta vs Jiren. They don't have to specifically state it if "this is how Dragonball fights have always worked". It can simply be interpreted either way. It would be left up to the audience.Asura wrote:It doesn’t need to be told, this is how Dragon Ball fights have always worked. They warm up first before transforming/getting serious. Read the above guys ^^. To reiterate to you desperate Vegeta fans, I feel your pain. And don't get me wrong, I want Vegeta to do well, to not get embarrassed, but I want his power increase to make logical sense. It's pretty annoying that Vegeta keeps taking these embarrassing L's.Kenneth La Torre wrote:Well, i guess this thread is irrelavent with the recents spoilers.

To be honest, I'm okay with vegeta not accomplishing anything against jiren, the dude is stated to be above gods of destruction. And I'm also happy he hasnt been eliminated and is instead going to be fighting along side goku against jiren (albeit both of them dont do anything either).BWri wrote:Read the above guys ^^. Re: Why do people have a problem with Vegeta doing better against jiren?
Why did Hit not even attack Goku then? All he did was counter attack. It’s pretty obviously Hit was not going all out from the start. Goku was not transformed so why would Hit use the same amount of power on him as he did Vegeta? Contrast this with Vegeta and Jiren when Vegeta is already at full power and it’s not the same situation.TBMx wrote:It wouldn't make sense for Hit to power down for Goku either when he could just eliminate his ass. Jiren is supposed to be stronger than the GoD of his universe, not better than all GoDs. I still hate they did this. There was no need to have a mortal stronger than a GoD.Kenneth La Torre wrote:To be honest, I'm okay with vegeta not accomplishing anything against jiren, the dude is stated to be above gods of destruction. His god being one of the top strongest going by the manga. The dude is above all of them by this point. Its only a matter of time before he is stated to be above that.Elvis143BRA wrote:Jiren is supposed to be stronger than the GoD of his universe, not better than all GoDs. I still hate they did this. Re: Why do people have a problem with Vegeta doing better against jiren?
Why? I personally like the idea of Goku going up against someone who rivals the GoDs, but isn’t actually a GoD. It really helps emphasize this idea that there’s always someone out there stronger than you. I just wish they didn’t make the anime version of Jiren such a blank slate.Elvis143BRA wrote:Jiren is supposed to be stronger than the GoD of his universe, not better than all GoDs. In all honestly, they could have introduced jiren in the next arc instead of this one. Why have a mortal that surpasses a god of destruction this early in the series? Unless jiren is actually not going to get defeated this arc, which is highly likely.WittyUsername wrote:Why? Early? It's been 4 arcs already, and the strongest characters to date were introduced as early as the first one. This is already far longer than GT went.Kenneth La Torre wrote:In all honestly, they could have introduced jiren in the next arc instead of this one. This is already off-topic as is, it'd probably be a good idea for this discussion to be continued in another thread.

The only thing Vegeta will do better is job.
