The store page for the new Crunchyroll set has been restored and now lists the show as 4:3. Do we think this is a response to criticism or simply a mistake? The reused art assets from 2013 lead me to believe it’s the latter.

I've actually grown quite fond of the Dragon Box colors, is there any cure for this?

The new Crunchyroll DBZ "Season" BDs are the same as the Funimation "Season" BDs from a decade ago; so yes, it's a mistake.vintagespaceray wrote: Thu Oct 31, 2024 1:34 pm The store page for the new Crunchyroll set has been restored and now lists the show as 4:3. I'd be pleasantly shocked if it wasn't an error. Unlike Manga UK, Crunchyroll/Funimation never made the 30th anniversary discs the retail standard. The only repackage of them in the US was the steelbooks, which were also limited.
Every Blu-Ray release of Dragon Ball Z other than the 30th set and steelbooks since the levels has been the 2013/2014 season sets.

Did you see the new crunchyroll exclusive 2024 blu ray dbz and db super sets?
The dbz "orange box" 2024 blu ray CR set seems to have orange discs, can anyone verify this? I bet its false advertising, they listed this set as 4:3 now they changed it to 16:9. Those discs look orange but i have serious doubts. Check it out now on crunchyroll store.

Ok so, i admit i was wrong, the new dbz CR box set #3 does indeed have orange discs with the four star logo on them. No one stars, only 4 star balls. Its an odd choice to only change the disc art. And the orange disc have a blueish tint as well. Only get this new set if you collect every release. And as for the new DB super blue box blu ray set, nothing new in that at all. Same old discs, no new disc art, same cases etc
But at this point they did indeed false advertise by saying they are 4:3. Sure, they corrected that a few days later, kind of a slap in the face to be honest. They 100% know we all want true 4:3. I'm not the only person to buy the dbz set advertised as 4:3 and order it, just to check back and now its 16:9.
They will release a 4:3 version again, the steelbook discs, repackaged, but it probably won't be this year.
