You might have to set your language settings to English. It's stupid but should worksangofe wrote: Sat Oct 19, 2024 2:43 am I checked Netflix in Norway last night, Friday the 18th of October at around 8.30 pm. No Dragon Ball Daima..

Australia and New Zealand are getting the theatrical English dub preview too from November 14th.
Tickets go on sale October 24th.
Hoping the UK and Ireland are next.

That's not the point. Netflix said it was coming world wide. That's not true if it's not in Norway.

Re: Dragon Ball Daima International Releases Thread
Netflix should have clarified, like they did for Asia, that release dates may vary from country-to-country. I'm hoping this is the case here and whatever territories Netflix is available in that haven't got Daima will within the next few days at least.sangofe wrote: Sat Oct 19, 2024 6:47 amThat's not the point. UPDATE : Can confirm Daima is streaming on Netflix in Ireland. That will undoubtedly mean the UK got it too.

Dragon Ball was always a kid series and fans should stop being in denial.

Re: Dragon Ball Daima International Releases Thread
Even some Asian territories, which were to come before other countries will be way behind it seems. South Korea aren't getting it on Netflix until October 27th.
Sadly that may mean further episodes will be delayed. In Ireland we only got the first episode on Netflix yesterday, episode 2 is coming next Friday.

It is in Norway but you need to set your UI language to English for it to show up. It's stupid and I don't know why it works but it does.sangofe wrote: Sat Oct 19, 2024 6:47 amThat's not the point. Netflix said it was coming world wide. That's not true if it's not in Norway.

Denmark. I used a VPN to check Norway and it is there. The same thing happens to other shows including DanDaDan which was how I found out about it. I don't know if it's just european countries or others as well. I'd imagine it's a bug related to the fact that the shows don't have subtitles in the chosen UI language. I don't know why that would have an effect and I have no proof but it's the only correlation I can think of.sangofe wrote: Sat Oct 19, 2024 12:06 pmOh I see. I contacted Netflix about the issue. Hopefully they do something about it so as many people as possible can enjoy Daima!No9tro wrote: Sat Oct 19, 2024 12:18 pmDenmark. Episode 1 of Daima was showed on Netflix Mexico on October 18th and episode 2 comes out on October 25th. Source: I have Netflix and I live in Mexico.
I assume they are spoken in japanese subtitled to Spanish. I did not watch it from there...if someone could confirm that would be great ir maybe I could find time after work tomorrow and check...
I wonder if they will ever be dubbed... mexican voice acting world can be... challenging.

Re: Dragon Ball Daima International Releases Thread
As far as I'm aware no dubs of Daima have premiered, but Daniel Castañeda, TOEI's licensing director for Latin America reportedly said in an interview with Produ that dubbing would commence in October 2024 (which is this month). Unfortunately the source is no longer live, but according to various reports Daniel Castañeda said:Saiya6Cit wrote: Tue Oct 22, 2024 12:07 am I assume they are spoken in japanese subtitled to Spanish. Bear in mind some of these reports note this information is officially unconfirmed so we should take it with a grain of salt for now.“Usually all the productions we have are first released in Japan and about six months later, we release them internationally because we wait until we have 26 episodes to start dubbing and so on, and then we can release them in other territories. This is the first time we’re going to release a series worldwide at the same time. The production is already underway, and I estimate that we will have it finished around May 2024. We go into dubbing for worldwide release in October 2024 and For broadcast TV, we’re most likely going to release it in January 2025”.
Now, this could be another case of "where there's smoke there's fire", like Stephanie Nadolny returning, which ended up being true, but for now it's not 100% confirmed the Latin American dub is in production. That said at this point I'd be surprised if it wasn't and there were no NDAs signed. I imagine it's being worked on in secret along with several other dubs.
I'm sure at some point it will, it would only be leaving money on the table, especially in Latin America where dubbing is (rightfully) highly respected as an art form in its own right and Dragon Ball is culturally significant.Saiya6Cit wrote: Tue Oct 22, 2024 12:07 am I wonder if they will ever be dubbed... mexican voice acting world can be... challenging.
I'm surprised we haven't even heard anything about other dubs yet, unless for whatever reason TOEI wanted far more secrecy on Daima's international versions than Kai and Super.

Re: Dragon Ball Daima International Releases Thread
Heads up for those of you in Japan that your local Animax will begin airing Daima and it looks like new episodes will debut weekly.
The first episode airs tomorrow at 7pm with reruns on Friday at 3pm and 6:30pm.
Each subsequent new episode will then premier on Thursdays and repeat on Fridays, in both cases at the same timeslots every week until December 27th

Re: Dragon Ball Daima International Releases Thread
Madman Films NZ has announced that the English dub of the first three episodes of Dragon Ball Daima will premiere in select New Zealand theaters on November 14.

It'll also premiere in select Australian theaters on the same day.
And how come the UK didn't get a scheduled theatrical release of Daima?
