This game is only for PS3 and XBOX360.

Finally, the return of Dimps! Maybe this will be the game which will make me come back to the series.

Oh I loved the Budoukai series!

I also hope it comes to PS2 or Wii in addtion to PS3 and X360. I don't want to have to buy a PS3 just for one game. :(

Here's the first entry of their blog from the official Burst Limit site. I can only understand a little bit of it.
NEXT DBZ!
The whole world is waiting for the next DBZ!
Good afternoon!
*Now work... producer of Bandai Namco game... something something... desu."

Finally revealing the next-gen Dragon Ball Z!
It's being developed by Dimps in Osaka and they're putting 120% effort into it.
*This blog is for recording the development of the game... etc. etc... something something...--imasu.*
*Something about this game being in development for several years now.*

...and here's the rest. I don't feel like finishing it right now.

Personally I always liked the Sparking! engine better, and therefore enjoyed the games more, but the return of a series by the original crew is definitely a good idea.

As for the Wii, while I'd like to see this hit it, until I see more on it and how awesome it may end up, I'd like the Wii to continue with more Sparking! games. It could be the same deal with Naruto - PS2/3 gets Ultimate Ninja series, GC/Wii gets Clash of Ninja series.

But I don't like separating games based on the three big systems! :(
That just makes it seem like "haha, you can't play this game because YOU don't have enough $ to own a PS3, Wii, AND an XBox 360."

Sorry, no. I don't like that. Seems unfair.

You think THAT'S unfair, try being a PC Gamer. We hardly ever get anything that's not an RTS or a shooter.

Last fighting game I played on PC was Virtua Fighter 2. :(

It may not be fair, but I'd love a series of games from both developers. Besides, if this is going to 360 and PS3 only, I need something for my Wii. T_T

If this game have really been in devevelopment for several years, that's an even greater relief in comparsion to Sparkling! series. This is best news for DB gaming since Super Dragon Ball Z. :D

If this image from the blog is taken using the game engine, then I'm expecting great things:

It doesn't look like artwork to me (slightly blocky edges).

But thats what the Sparking! artwork went for (especially NEO) and I think we all know they weren't stills of the player models.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Dimps animate the characters this time around, because Budokai 3 still trumps the Sparking! series on character animation, so I'm looking forward to seeing just how expressive they make the characters.

Whoa, so it's going to be DBZ Burst Limit? What will it change to when it arrives to the other countries, I guess DBZ Budokai 4. Other than that, this seems like a sweet game, one which I might get a few years after it releases, PS3/XBOX360 are hard to get(in terms of price). Better yet, I am hoping for the return of the animated intros, no one talked about them yet?

I was thinking that we might see an intro made entirely using the in-game engine. It all depends if the animation is good though. Hopefully Dimps are doing as big an effort with this one as they did with the first Budokai - the cutscenes in that game are still top notch.

If they feel the need to retell the story once again, here's hoping they really go all out on something like Dragon Universe. Oh man.

Being that this game, as far as I can tell, has been in development for awhile wouldn't that mean that Bandai never really dropped Dimps from their console development? It just seems like Bandai went up to Dimps one day and said "Start working on the next-gen DBZ game. In the meantime, someone else will cover for you."

Dragonuniverse for storymode and Dragonworld for an alternative bonus.
Oh, and the cutscenes from the first...

I hope they renew the capsules too. No more kaioken for supersayian!
And unlimited time for Vegeto! (ops they already did it in Shin Budokais)
