If you can't argue, please don't post in threads that contain arguments. You seem to be of the impression that going with the norm protects you from being wrong. I caught you out on this one, you should just leave it.
You continually skip entire posts yet continually insist yourself in an argument.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

Your board had a "Haters post your opinions here" thread. It doesn't count. At all. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one with a problem here judging by the Funimation thread. Is it maybe just possible that this forum has a problem, and your forum, you being of this board, also has a problem? Instead of saying "Maybe you have the problem" why not prove your case? Otherwise it's an empty comment.JAPPO wrote:Honestly, no board is perfect. Rena started a thread just to bash my forums, and now she's bashing this one. I think she's the one with the problem.
There's plenty of other Dragonball boards out there, you aren't looking hard enough.
So far I've found ONE active forum and I'll give it a try. If I don't like it, I'm boned. If ther are so many you'd just post a huge list. There is very limited choice.
There's a huge gap between "imperfect" and "admins never listen to anyone but themselves".

1) No we do not.Rena Rune wrote:Your board had a "Haters post your opinions here" thread. It doesn't count. At all. 2) No, my forum is perfect in every way. I just said no board is perfect.
3) If you can't find ANY forum you like, you are indeed "boned."
If challenge had a taste, you'd be quite delicious.
Yeah Raki, sorry, but you're more or less making an ass of yourself. You cannot rely on the viewpoints of others to justify your own; collection of evidence, reasoning, and reaching a logical conclusion--and, mind you, a logical conclusion is one that is literally irrefutable given the proper evidence--is the only way you can hope to try and debunk Rena's concerns, which stand to be very valid, even if I don't like the way she expresses those concerns.
I think that these kinds of mob-mentality "lol let's hate on this guy" sort of situations don't serve to represent a community well, and they also tend to act as a replacement for legitimate conversation. I think it's much more useful to try and dissect and debunk everything Rena says than reply with "if you don't like it, leave"; if there's potential for a legitimate issue, then why should she leave? What does that accomplish? Does that solve fundamental issues that may or may not exist in this community?
I think it's worth exploring in-depth as to whether or not there are issues. For example, I feel comfortable here, but that's based on my actions, my viewpoints, and how I respond to situations; how I work does not represent the entire world, though. How is it fair to make a judgement of an entire group based on one person? It's called stereotyping in the real world; I don't know what it's called here.
Listen, this is all pretty simple. I think we should just all forget this whole situation ever happened. Forget the T I E N bullshit; forget the group jumping bullshit; forget all of it. Rena was doing perfectly fine here until both of these issues were raised, and you had no problems interacting with her and participating in what I believe to be some fairly decent discussion. It's obvious that she's capable of interacting in this forum without trouble as long as trouble is not presented to her.
I know Rena--she's reactionary, and she doesn't seek to start trouble. Whether or not she's at fault (hell, I wouldn't say she's entirely free of fault in her actions at all) doesn't take away from the fact that the way this thread was responded to by a lot of members was totally unacceptable. It's easy to overlook that when you try and compare the attitudes of those peoples and someone being offended by them, but throwing around "butthurt," "BAWWWWW," and other useless expressions not only serves to make an ass of yourself, but it proves that you're using retarded memes in lieu of actual argument.
This is a smart group of people here. I like this forum because they generally show respect to their members, are friendly, and it's easy to get along with others. When someone gets upset or doesn't make a topic exactly as expected, though, that seems to be thrown out the window. What's up with that? Why shouldn't we respect those who may fly off the handle a bit? Why "stoop down to their level"? It doesn't make sense, and it's not cool. We're supposed to be better than that.
There's just so much shit being thrown about here that I can hardly follow any of it anymore. Let's agree to disagree, lock this topic, and move on with our lives. Really, what purpose does this topic serve anymore? Christmas shitslinging? Yeah, that's really fucking jolly right there.
ffffffffffff.

It seems that the ultimate solution would be for the person not liking how things go down here to go elsewhere as we'd rather not re-format the culture of this forum around one person's complaints.Tweaker wrote:I think it's much more useful to try and dissect and debunk everything Rena says than reply with "if you don't like it, leave"; if there's potential for a legitimate issue, then why should she leave? Yes. Those filthy cactus cocks, coming into our country and taking our jobs. "Racism" is a heavy word though, I simply have a preference to individuals with a less prickly penis.Raki wrote:Are you attempting to be racist?Rena Rune wrote:hey raki sum guy sed dis waz a pic of u is dis tru?Raki wrote:What?
Just up until last week, I was a pro sound producer until they laid me off for this guy, who works for waffles and cans of cherry cola.

I really don't see how I'm making an ass of myself when Rena took this business of this board and dragged it elsewhere. All I've been doing is stating that this board is VegettoEX's property. It's his to do as he wishes. Whether or not it's "right" or "wrong" is irrelevant really. I don't see what I'm doing is ganging or not. I'm just stating my opinion on the matter. It's impossible to refute that Mike just doesn't want Off Topic forum. It ain't up for discussion and it doesn't look like it's going to change. That's the logical conclusion I've come to. So why go on and on and on about that, all the while jumping on people that agree with that point. What Rena has done is make a circus at this point while pointing the finger, trying to make everyone here feel like the badguy. If you don't agree with the rules that people have on their forum? Leave.Tweaker wrote:Yeah Raki, sorry, but you're more or less making an ass of yourself. So I'm the only person who's EVER complained about this forum?Kendamu wrote:It seems that the ultimate solution would be for the person not liking how things go down here to go elsewhere as we'd rather not re-format the culture of this forum around one person's complaints.Tweaker wrote:I think it's much more useful to try and dissect and debunk everything Rena says than reply with "if you don't like it, leave"; if there's potential for a legitimate issue, then why should she leave? Come on, this is a really arrogant post. If there's a better way to do things, then you should hear it out. You're outright refusing to just because you don't want anything to change.
I haven't even seriously followed any of this stuff since about page five of the Tien thread because... well, it's ridiculous. I stop to look at it now, and it's STILL ridiculous.
Rena, you have nothing you should be crying about. Every forum has its' own rules and standards. Frankly, I love DaizEX because it sets such high standards for things like on-topicness and spelling/grammar. Because while I'm a normally fun-loving guy, I have virtually no patience for wanton, 4chan-inspired, assholish stupidity. DaizEX is not ONLY a place where I can discuss my favorite manga/anime with other intelligent fans, it's also a safe haven from the rampant stupidity that most other slob-pits on the internet have.
I have my sometimes-heated disagreements with folks like Corey and Desire and GoC and whoever else on the boards every once in a while, but it doesn't really matter to me. Not only because "it's just a cartoon" (pardon the expression), but because I know that they're smart, respectable people, and we all know that whatever we're talking about isn't worth holding petty grudges over. OR, for that matter, labeling each other as "elitist" or "social retards" or what have you.
The rules are there to make it a better place. It's about DragonBall, so the forum is about DragonBall. Mike prefers to keep the place somewhat low-scale so he can moderate it himself. Hence, no "off-topic" sections because, like Mike told you already, such things tend to explode out of control. The focus on good grammar and stuff is to keep the discussions intelligent and legible. Everything has a good reason, and the rules are NOT going to be changed just because you're unhappy about them.
You want a good example of someone who manages to have a good time WHILE still adhering to and appreciating the rules? You're looking at him. I've got the second-highest postcount on the entire board, but I'd be surprised if even HALF of them were anything serious or entirely on-topic. I'm a creative joker, and I've managed to thrive and really be at home here. The rules have not limited or crippled me in any way, because I use my brain. That also includes getting around the word filters if I want to. Pikkon. Tien. Hercule. Gokou. See?
Honestly, do you see ANYONE else making this much of a fuss over this stuff? It IS Mike's board, he sets the rules, and they're GOOD rules. They keep out idiots. If you're an idiot or hate the rules, then go somewhere else. You keep getting labeled as childish because you ARE acting childish.
But you've been told this by many people several times over already. If you're not going to listen, then I'll agree with Corey on this one, and ignore you until you decide to stop crying, or you get banned for causing trouble.
